Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

G’mornin’, Wheelizens!

Paddy --

Next time I make chicken fried steak, I’ll try adding some smoked paprika. (And use more cayenne than I did the first time.) Getting a biscuit cutter is probably a good solution. 😉

Bet you’re glad to have teh missus home.

Sven --

Good on you for looking out for Tatum (just as you and Mrs. Sven have done for wayward Gerbils).

Wait until we decide to keep him and then he hears about how his balls are coming off.

I LOLed; so did BrendaK. Hope you’ll post a Cone of Shame pic. 👿

A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Yes, it is good to have Mrs. Paddy home. We went out to dinner last night because that’s probably the only chance we’ll have to do that for the next couple of weeks. Yeah, life get’s busy sometimes.

Considering how many balls Jack Tatum stripped from others IRL, it’s only poetic justice that his be stripped from him.

What’s funny about Tatum is that he was obviously a house cat or at the very least, an indoor-outdoor cat, when he wandered into our yard back in July. He had a flea collar, was very clean and well-groomed, knew how to use a litter box, and his nails were trimmed. How he got separated from his owners, I don’t know. Mrs Sven thinks he got pushed out by another cat, or got dumped, but that doesnt make sense to me considering the shape he was in--somebody took good care of him.

Anyhow, now, he’s taken to the outdoor life and is more feral than tame. He’s not all that affectionate, not that interested in toys, and uses our place mostly for food and sleep. He’s tolerant of us--he hurt his rear leg and allowed us to work on it without too much fuss or biting--but he’s not a clingy lap cat type of creature at all.

Right now, we give him safety and food and leave him be for the most part.

And there he is…

Raiders squeaked one out--a good game despite all of their penalties and miscues. 3-1 and undefeated on the road.

Well, we just finished watching the first episode of HBO’s new series, Westworld, which is a remake of the movie Westworld starring Yul Brenner from like 45 years ago.

Sheesh, it really sucked.
