Fortunately, my taxes were completed a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, our tax system is still too complicated and burdensome -- and getting more so, despite regular calls for reform.
Our tax system will not be reformed unless the rat bastards in Congress get some real heat…such as from torches accompanied by pitchforks. Not particularly joking; I think it’ll take credible threats of grievous bodily harm. Look how they treat Tea Partiers and the Liberty Caucus. They can’t even be bothered to do diddly about a clearly weaponized IRS.

On a cheerier note, I’ve gotten a preview of tomorrow’s local news:
He left a few racist video rants online. Hard to tell if it was mental illness or Islam, as there is a lot of overlap between the two.
On the plus side, 4chan trolled the Cleveland Facebook shooter for a few hours before he offed himself in Erie, PA this afternoon. (4chan seems to do intelligence work better and cheaper than overpaid public officials; a friend suggested it’s “the power of distributed autism”.)
