I hope you’re wrong re your prognostication of a violent incident before the end of this week, but it’s sure not crazy to be concerned. The “liberals” and the media sure seem intent on trying to incite political violence because “Trump Hitler”.
I’m old enough to remember the ’60s; I do not want to see that kind of chaos again.
Today’s thread GIF accurately reflects how I felt when I looked at my Inbox this morning; many emails with multiple photo attachments from Jim teh Roofer. (Glad to have opportunities, but none of them are large enough that they’d require a visit to earn vast quantities of feelthy lucre.)
On the sunnier side, one of my fave property manager has asked us to look at a scha-weet potential project: twenty-two buildings with five or six townhomes in each one. We’re pretty excited about that. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Violence and murder were the outcome from the whole BLM-media circus and this immigration “debate” is going down the same path with its 24/7 media outrage. If you really believed that Trump is worse than Hitler and that the concentration camps have finally come to be, could you be satisfied with just typing your outrage and anger to the intertubes?
It’s ironic that when the NRA referred to the ATF as “jack-booted thugs” they were loudly condemned by politicians and pundits for attacking law enforcement -- I guess now it’s OK tho to refer to ICE as worse.

I’ve been avoiding replying to the numerous ill-informed posts I’ve seen on FB regarding the current immigration issue -- many from my brother. I made an exception when he mentioned that we should keep the families together until their immigration issues are settled. I naively thought that he might want to know why they can’t be kept together (the Flores consent decree of 1997). Nope. I tried responding with more facts and received more and ever greater vitriol. This is how you shut down debate. This is how you silence the opposition.
Maaaaan…political rhetoric in this country is the ugliest I’ve ever seen it. And that includes during the civil rights era, when my family and other folks were called, among other things, “nigger-loving Christ-killers”.
As you might imagine, I find the comparisons of what’s going on along our southern border to concentration camps to be waaaay beyond the pale. AFAIK, we haven’t sent any U.S. personnel to, say, Colombia to drag families from their homes in the middle of the night and forcibly relocate them here as slave labor to be starved and then murdered.
Day 3 of Cub Scout day camp is in the books. The cub scouts are having fun, the Boy Scouts who are working on their archery merit badge have managed to shoot qualifying scores (with some serious coaching), and the range staff -- both youth and adults -- have been doing a great job.
