Maaaaaaan…the expected media butthurt yesterday was not disappointing. It is, however, exceedingly distressing and further evidence of “a clear and present danger” to our republic. (I’m so old, I remember when the media at least pretended to be skeptical of everyone in power.)
I hope LambiePieK and I remain alive long enough to help make sure our grandkids grow up to be solid and outspoken “Fuck You-Americans” who embrace our founding principles and understand they are very much worth preserving.
The Dems were never going to let go of their Trump hatred no matter what the reports said -- nor will the media. The end result though is going to be a Trump victory next year.
It is funny though that two weeks ago when Barr released his 4-page summary of the Mueller report, the media screamed about how could anyone read and summarize 400+ pages in a weekend, and yet yesterday all the talking heads were able to digest the same full report in a matter of minutes.
VDH in his book The Case for Trump quotes journalist Salena Zito: “The press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally.” And that in a nutshell is why Trump will be re-elected in 2020.
Impeachment? Go for it. If Trump is worse than Hitler, a real threat to every living thing on the planet, not to mention hellbent on destroying the Constitution, then it is the Dem’s sacred duty to start impeachment hearings immediately before it is too late.
The spittle-flecked members of the Left would love nothing more than to impeach Pres. Trump, but the saner heads in the halls of Congress know just how well that would work out for them and are trying, desperately it seems, to keep a lid on any action in that direction. It’s a good soundbite for fundraising, but they don’t want to actually carry through with it.
I am getting very tired of Doctors. Had a vein in my ankle start spraying blood this afternoon when I finished a shower. Got it stopped but what a mess, in the bathroom at least. So I see my vascular specialist, heart doctor, on Monday, have my right eye done Wednesday, and a followup on that Thursday. Enough, please.
No problem. Years of long shifts on concrete floors has left me with rather bad varicose veins in both legs. It is a big concern for my doctor but we did one treatment and it was so painful I said never again. He was surprised and said he could do better if he had known so maybe I will find out. I had taken a shower and was still inside and I saw I was standing in a pool of blood. I felt nothing and did not know where it was coming from until I saw a spray from the side of my heel below the ankle. I think it just broke through at that point, or I might have brushed it with a toenail or callus from my other foot without noticing. It was squirting about two feet at times and made quite a mess in the bathroom but I kept it off the carpet. I have lost more blood before so it was just annoying as I did not have my glasses or the things I needed to deal with it. I got it stopped and Elena came home and helped me sort things out. I have known things were very thin down there, when the doctor’s asst. increased my dose of Isosorbide some time back it caused very slight leaks on the right leg as well as itching. I stopped taking it and the symptoms went away, along with some other side effects I was happy to see go away. The situation is not good for diabetics so the doctor has been concerned. I guess he wins this round. I will also get my partial blockages dealt with this year. Things are going to be busy.
In today’s FFS episode: Here is the latest. The New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Flyers have stopped playing Kate Smith’s iconic recording of “God Bless America.” Why? Because Smith recorded a couple of other songs, during the 1930s, that some liberals now consider objectionable.
The Noor trial -- this doesn’t give me a good impression of the police -- testimony of Noor’s partner:
“Harrity testified on direct examination that he viewed every call as a threat. He flipped the hood down on his holster and took his seatbelt off as he drove down the alley behind Justine’s house. His own safety is a primary concern. “I want to go home every night,” he said.”
And this is one more example of why free people must accept responsibility for their own safety and not depend on police. It is not the job they are supposed to be doing and they are not the people to be given such power and lack of accountability. Sheep can not be part of a Shepard’s flock and still be free.
