At the trial it was reported that he didn’t pull the trigger -- the gun just went off. Plus, it was wrapped in cloth and he didn’t even know what he was holding. IN ADDITION, he threw the gun in the bay to get it to stop shooting.
I’ve heard of 1911s going full-auto before -- usually after a particularly bad job of home gunsmithing -- and I’ve heard lots of people claim that a gun “just went off”, but I’ve never heard of someone picking up a wrapped firearm, it going off spontaneously, and continuing to fire -- yet only, in fact, firing once.
This is what happens when judges and juries weigh in on topics of which they are intentionally and grossly ignorant.
The niece of Elena has cats that are still adjusting to being second place to the three year old daughter and now she has another girl, about three months old. Cats are not amused.
