To kind friends and absent companions.

I’m here, copying from the previous Midnight Thread so it won’t get lost. I just finished ‘Byrony and Roses’, and before that ‘The Seventh Bride’ — and although I do so very rarely, this time I read the author’s Acknowledgements and found to my delight that the author is Ursula Vernon (writing under the name T. Kingfisher)! I recall she is a friend of your daughter’s, dv8 and Harper.

I enjoyed her stories quite a bit. I have always liked reading fairy tales told in a new way, and you just can’t beat a snarky heroine with a good grasp on practicality.

Evidently, I’m not quite asleep…heh.

I just downloaded ” The Seventh Bride”. Thank you, Brenda. I had no Idea Ursula wrote in this genre. I’m looking forward to reading it!

I’ve been burning teh midnight oil searching out the best free music appreciation courses for Sven. I’ve narrowed it down to courses from Berklee School of Music, Curtis Institute, MIT and Yale. Tomorrow I’ve got to read up on the professors giving the classes. Nothing more irritating than a Marxist teaching music history! Seriously, nothing at all.
