Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!

The results of the California primary -- so far -- have been looking good. My preferred candidate for Congress won (now let’s hope he can win the general), the new version of Prop 13 lost in a landslide, and every one of the school bond measures failed. It also appears that two pro-charter school candidates won seats on the county school board.

Gerbilinos! I’ve been getting here rather late, um, of late. But I’m reading the threads and leaving some comments that might be too late to be seen.

Just popping in to say hello.

Hi Dv8,

I read what you wrote last night re: Steve Earle. I respectfully disagree. Earle’s views are his own, regardless of how he arrived at them or whose path he decided to follow to get there. And he used his position, such as it is/was, to get those views out to the public and to publicly denigrate those that didn’t hold the same views. Maybe he’s sincere now in reaching out, but too little, too late as far as I’m concerned.

I agree with you also, oddly enough. But I (((try))) (and it is difficult) to cut these people some slack because I know how much money and effort is expended on them by Marxist handlers.

This is a pet theory of mine, and, truth be told, if I ever were to write a political nonfiction book, this would be the subject. It would take some serious research though, because these people work in the shadows.

Also, knowing what I (think I) know about the subject, it makes those people in the public eye who resist the brainwashing all the more admirable. But if you think about it--go with it as a working theory--it does explain why there are so many on the left and so few on the right in the public eye.

As I mentioned, these people started showing up even on my lame poetry blog once I had about 10,000 follows. I also identified their appearance in the comments of a blog of an author I like. They push subtly, and when rebuffed, they don’t show that they have taken offense, they just come back at you with a softer approach or a different angle.

While it’s true that at some point people are responsible for their views and actions, it’s also true that maleducation can skew, bend, and mutilate malleable minds. And often… the minds of very creative people are malleable. These Marxist handlers know this and take advantage of it.

I believe that if I researched it, I would find them--find out who they are, who is assigned to whom, and even how much they are paid, in the case of the more prominent subjects. It would be a great subject to research and a great book to write (for someone less lazy than I am.)

In point of fact, I feel remiss in not following it up, vetting it, proving it, documenting it. because I believe it to be the truth. I am quite certain that these people exist, because they MUST exist.

Newsom has issued a STATE of EMERGENCY for California over the coronavirus -- what that means exactly is a bit unclear.

Well government is just another name for all those things that we just do together while the whole village is raising a child.

I tried to explain to a lib the other day that us on the right don’t ignore many of the problems that those on the left raise, but that we don’t think every issue should be solved by govt or a new law.

Yes, another fruitless effort.

I’m off to bed -- good night, friends. I’ll leave with this, which resonates with me tonight.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
