Maaaaaan…the nuttiness re -- as someone at AoSHQ called it -the Sino Sinus Syphilis is finally getting to me; feeling quite squirrely this morning. And more PO’d than usual with journalists, pundits and pols.
Obviously I’m not the only one today feeling squirrely this morning. And *I”m* used to not getting out much to start with.
Maybe the weeks of uncertainty, political posturing and a dash a fear have finally caught up with me. Or I’m not the optimist I used to be.
Today’s Town Story
We’ve a Tobacco Barn that’s affiliated with one of the grocery stores, and the last time I was there, the little girl told me the manager had brought them dishwashing gloves to work with, not nitrile. o_0
When I drove up this morning, and she was there and no, they hadn’t gotten around to outfitting them yet. I reached into my console,”I grabbed these from my husband’s shop before I left this morning, thinking of y’all. Do you want them?” Her eyes went wide and her hand came out. “OMG! Yes! Please!”
I feel good and bad about that.
Everything else about today has just been, “Feh.” The allergies today definitely didn’t help.

That curve had better start flattening, or things are going to start happening. Maybe, just maybe, people might start getting a little desire for freedom and a dislike for government oppression.
One of the things I’m having to come to grips with is it doesn’t matter whether I believe this is a real crisis worthy of destroying the economy for years to come. It is what it is and the actions taken by govt at all levels are real. I struggle to get beyond ” this is really stupid” and to adapt to this new environment.
