I heard some CNN schmuck whining about the attack on their headquarters. Why are they attacking us? Don’t they know we just want to get the truth out?
I noticed no such comments from them as mom & pop businesses in Minneapolis were burned to the ground. DIAF
I saw some video last night of a white dude, dressed in black, wearing a full-face gas mask, breaking the windows of an AutoZone with a hammer. He casually walked along the building, smashing windows, while black residents asked him why he was doing that. He then calmly walked away. Not to join the crowd, but to get away from it. In another scene, a group of black-clad white boys were stacking wood against Target’s plastic shopping carts. In another video, protesters outside the White House pushed down the barricades, but rather than charge forward, they all stayed where they were. Someone with a bullhorn said “Hands up”. They all dutifully put their hands in the air, then a whole lot of them raised their professional cameras and started recording the police response. This all has the smell of astroturf.

Harper got her new migraine medicine this week, but she’s waiting for a doctor’s consult in order to try it. She’s been sleeping through the migraines which is why she’s not been on the wheel, but she loves you all; and sometimes, when she’s more awake, we read your posts together.
It’s been lonely with all headaches/sleeping. That’s probably why I’ve been doing those afternoon streams.
By the way, I guess I’m taking the censorship stream and editing it for clarity and removing about 10000 “um”s, verbal ticks, and other weird, kinesthetic and/or other sperging I can’t seem to help but do.

you claim to have a face for radio (about which I disagree) but I probably have a voice for silent movies. Unless I’m reading a script, I think I sound like a retard--or perhaps the sperg that I might actually be (but have never been PET scanned to know for sure.

Which reminds me of an old Star Trek term my friends and I once appropriated.
“Herbert”
Our use of it had to do with Rolling all generic stereotypes into one. In other words, all group stereotypes resonate with people in general, (for example, for purposes of humor). That’s why they exist. So me and my fellow brainiacs--we thought: What if we chose a Meta term for all such stereotypes.
So we chose Herbert. It pretty much means whatever is similar regarding ALL stereotypes. It is not entirely congruent to “Normie” for example which may be said by Herberts.
If I had ambitions of any kind, my goal would be to bring Herbert into common use such that it would have to be called the “H-Word” on national television.
This is not about culture, by the way--not exactly. Take every derogatory term for any group; think about such groups in the abstract, and there are similarities. Meta functions, Copying dress, appearance, manner of speech, attitudes, etc.
If you reflect upon any one member of such a group as An Individual, then you realize that there is no pressing reason why one such person should act, speak, dress, and/or think like the others. The person that does not, and/or doesn’t really care whether they conform or not (hence they conform less without even trying) that person is NOT a Herbert. But if they do… well then… there you are.
It really is/was a quite an insult on our part (we thought of it as teenagers) It’s essentially worse than the proverbial N-word, or any other such word, because it suggests that none of the living embodiments of such stereotypes are unique from one another, or even from other such groups in any significant way. However within such a concept there is also the acknowledgement that anyone--of any group--or rather AS an individual may be NOT a Herbert.
But essentially, by calling someone or referring to someone as a Herbert, we were essentially calling him all derogatory words at once.
But it was our code, so no one knew that’s what we were doing.
It was because we valued individualism and uniqueness so much that we originally thought of the concept.
dv8, Long ago when the Gentle Lady was with us she shared what you were doing and said with us and shared with you things she thought you would enjoy. It made it feel like you were here with us. Now the roles are reversed and you make it feel like she is here with us again. Thank you for that. You are both such a major part of the Wheel.
Elena wanted to get the process started for a replacement for her other knee so we went to the surgeon Thursday. Wow! Things are moving faster than I thought. We are scheduled for June tenth, but that means a lot top do before then. Caught us with dentist appointments for a crown and the need to get clearance and tests done by our GP. Fun times, but I hope it goes at least as well as the last one. At least I will not be just out of ICCU for a heart attack this time (I hope).
Thank you, Paddy. Her knees are really bad with arthritis and gel or steroid shots no longer help. The left knee replacement worked very well so we have good hopes for this. She is taking too many pain pills to continue this way. Hopefully this will allow less meds and more exercise. If she can walk better that might help her sciatica problems as well.
