dv8, Proxy Gerbil was a medical tech that was helping the Gentle Harper. She had him check in on the Wheel for her when she could not using her ID so he called himself Proxy Gerbil. He was quite a hit and we tried to get him to join in under his own ID but we could not lure him in. He once mentioned her scones. He was a fan. Elena and I agree on that.

Glad to see that -- as of this writing -- Dragon capsule’s approach is looking, as they say, nominal. I dearly hope the entire mission is a huge success.
I also hope that after the damned rioting’s over the government does a thorough investigation of who the hell’s driving the “uprising” bus. (But given my effectively complete lack of faith in all law enforcement agencies, there’s probably no point to such an endeavor. Sad!)
I’m damned angry about the whole sorry mess; the murder of George Floyd, the looting / arson and that the ensuing chaos all seems rather coordinated.

Maybe when the Dems eventually get back into office, they can designate “white supremacy” as the same.
On the other hand, designate black lives matter while you are at it.
Mrs. Paddy knows some people who were at the protest in Huntington Beach. They reported that there were small groups who attempted to get the crowd riled up, violent, and to start smashing and looting. The crowd shouted them down.
Looks like LA’s curfew is now being implemented at 4:00 instead of 8:00. Not a lot of notice there.
Apparently, there’s conflicting information on the curfew start time. It could be Santa Monica is 4:00 only, or LA City. Also, it’s maybe in effect now over all of LA County?
All LEO resources seem to be concentrated in LA proper -- if I was in a looting mood I’d head over the hill to the San Fernando Valley.
It’s infuriating how many times local newscasters, pundits, and local politicians are using the word “peaceful.” It also pisses me off when LA Council members refer to the ’92 riots here as the “Uprising.”

The majority of the protesters were demanding an end to racism, broadly speaking. No word on the identity of the agitators.
