Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Friday…yay!!

Let’s raise a glass to our newest video star — Teh Plague Fairy!

Indeed. What a treat. As was watching the interaction between her and dv8; it was pretty adorable. (Can I even say that? I’m not sure what counts as “disparaging” or “hateful” speech in America any more.)

Let’s mount that puppy over the UN building.

“I’m down with that”, as teh kids say…or used to say.

I think it’s sadly funny that so many in the left / media / Democrat complex moisten their pantaloons over some guys carrying guns while wearing camo trousers and/or Hawaiian shirts.

In truth, the people they should be a lot more concerned about are the ones who like us. Y’know, just average folks. Who are armed and have had just about enough of the BS, destruction and chaos. Of being told how to behave and what we may -- or may not -- say. Of the kow-towing of our (alleged) leaders to the mobs. Of our civil liberties being denied.

We have collectively practiced quite admirable self-restraint over the past few months. But I think there’s an enormous amount of pent-up frustration, anger and fear among “average” folks. With weapons.

If something resembling order is not restored in this country pronto it’s likely to get ugly. A level of ugly even angry, cynical li’l ol’ me cannot adequately envision.

I very much hope that doesn’t happen, but am increasingly of the mind it will.

*Sigh*

Good morning, Fatwa, and happy Friday, GN!

Happy this week is over, not that I can much tell one day from another.

I see that Drew Brees has double-downed on his apology -- odds on him taking a knee when/if the NFL ever plays again and when/if they till play the National Anthem are at least 5:1 he will. To show solidarity, of course, and to assuage all those hurt feelings he caused.

Meanwhile, happening the past week in our southern neighbor -- not sure how “systemic racism” factors in here, but I’m sure it must.

Nuevo Laredo: Husband pleaded for help on Facebook in finding his missing wife—her body found
The violence crisis in Guanajuato: 100 murders in one week; 1 in 10 Mx murders occur in the state
Jalisco: Temporary Puente Grande Prison Chief Assassinated
CJNG decapitates and dismembers Venezuelan woman residing in Cancún
Tamaulipas: 25 dead in rival cartel shootout; disappearances reported in border town
6 Murdered inside a hookah in San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato
7 missing policemen found dead in Colima—SSP Chief resigns
5 incinerated bodies were located on the Guadalajara -- Saltillo Highway
The body of missing congresswoman found

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Sven -- all that violence against brown people is a sure sign of systemic racism. We should build a wall to make sure it doesn’t migrate north into our country.

Fatwa -- I saw a video clip of normal people in Couer D’alene armed and ready to repel Antifa. If they did arrive, they turned tail and ran.

Good morning, Paddy. If only there were some type of organization or profession that could accurately analyze and communicate what was going in Mexico to a larger audience so that racism could be eradicated.

What a wonderful idea! I wish our founding fathers had thought of that! Such an organization would deserve Constitutional protection.

Funny. The media complaining about no social distancing for chair placement at Trump’s press conference. Did it not occur to anyone there that they could pick up the chair and move it themselves if they were so worried?

Yeah, it only feels like 102°. I picked a great day for lawn moaning. And figures, the forecast had rain … and now it doesn’t.
Buh.

Clearly since I embarked on the lawn maintenance *after* walking the dogs I may have been a tad overheated because I almost got carried away with my lovely noise-canceling headphones and was about to start belting along with Florence + the Machine. o_0

I can imagine the calls to dispatch now: “I don’t know what the sound is, but something’s dying. Horribly!”

Other than that, I got nuthin’. I managed to stay away from the narrative drumbeat today, but who knows what tomorrow will bring.

For now, I think I need to rustle up some dinner.
Then I think I’ll watch the moon from my hammock with my headphones.
In fact, THAT sounds like a fine idea.

’til later
*mwah!*

Maybe another thing the media ought to cover, but nope. They got an election to win to save the country.

Unless there’s a way to blame White Republicans, it doesn’t make the cut.
