Teh Squeaky Wheel
Sunday greetin’s, Wheelizens.
Just read Krak’s rant over at AoSHQ; I can certainly relate. For someone who’s made it to 64-y.o. without ever being arrested, I’ve had a fair number of negative encounters with LEOs. Too many of them really don’t like informed citizens who insist on their rights being respected and the actual law being followed.
And that’s a big problem. Getting rid of qualified immunity, civil asset forfeiture and the unions would be an excellent start to improving this sorry situation.
Happy Sunday, GN! Off to do chores.
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
A young man I know posted a screed on FB about the police abolition movement. The movement, of course, includes abolishing prisons and other such nonsense. His sincerity and lack of critical thinking was frightening.
Do you engage him or just ignore? Tough question.
I read the comments and his replies and decided that there was no point in engaging.
Hi, Sven and Paddy!
Is the young man you mentioned also a gun-grabber?
I really don’t know. I would hope not, but he has definitely gotten more Leftist in college.
I’ll tell you all about the car thing tomorrow, although… Hint: It’s not over yet.
