Thank you for the video, I loved it and also watched her explain how she created the piece in the style of Beethoven. Excellent! What amazing talent.
I loved the first few, but as the composers got newer I liked them less and the modern ones were just irritating. Her performances were great, I have just found more modern composers less satisfying and even annoying. I have never heard anything by Mozart or Beethoven I did not think was great. Tchaikovsky and Wagner, a mix of great and meh. Rachmaninoff, not really, and the contemporary composers just no. Easy for me to say and probably just reflects my ignorance and lack of taste, but I have found this for many years.
So can we hope to see our Gentle Lady doing her opera renditions in the styles of Mozart, Beethoven, and Verdi??
You’re just showing your innate sense of balance and refined taste in music, Gentle Mac. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that one doesn’t care for composition that includes pounding on the instrument in a dissonant manner.
