We started our wind event a few hours ago -- ayup, it’s some strong winds, but there’s also a decent chance of rain. Many preemptive power shutoffs have already occurred both in Ventura and LA counties, but for now our lights are still on. Don’t expect that to last.
I’m not looking forward with excitement to tomorrow either -- don’t plan on watching it or much of cable news/MSM for the foreseeable future. It would have been much better if Trump had just lost cleanly as he’s wasted his entire lame duck period looking for the kraken. Washington is broken. It was broken when Trump arrived and it remains a swamp now with every indication that it will get worse. Not a cheery outlook.

Kamala Harris has officially resigned her position as Senator for the State of California (after only 4 years), and Gov. Hairgel will appoint our current, corrupt, Secretary of State to that position. Some other Dem. whom I can’t remember will be appointed to the SoS position. A bunch of turds floating closer to the top.
On the plus side, Hillary! will never be POTUS. It might just be me, but searching teh google for 2016 election night videos showing the weeping and sad Hillary! supporters isn’t returning the results I saw the last time I did it.
From what I know of the protests/riots/insurrection that occurred at the Capitol, if I were Trump and if I wanted to blow up the whole GOP, I’d insist on a trial in the Senate. Especially in light of McConnell’s comments: “The mob was fed lies. They were provoked by the president and other powerful people, and they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government which they did not like.”
But I’d also find a better legal team than his election fraud surrogates.
What better way to keep his name in the news and to present his side of things?
My cow-worker across the freeway from you had the power pole in her neighbor’s yard snap. It’s being held up by the pole in her yard and the one on the other side. The FD made it out right away, but Edison hasn’t arrived on scene, let alone shut off power.
Harper’s treatment went fine. We thought about getting a Sam’s Club membership instead of costco, but we realized we are no longer buying enough stuff to justify either one.
Harper was much more energetic than I was this time. I slept pretty long last night. Harper was up and about.
Hi dv8! Glad Harper’s treatment went well and that she was feeling energetic. I understand about the Sam’s Club/Costco membership issue. We had one when the kids were young, through my business, then dropped it later. Now I just use Mrs. Paddy’s account through her church.
No, nothing is charged to her church. We pay for everything. Anything purchased for her church is on a separate receipt.
I know our First Lady wasn’t up to the task of gracing any of America’s woman’s or glamour magazines during her 4-year stint, but I’m sure this, er, person will be on at least one cover before the end of the year.
If he/she/it/them/xir hasn’t been already.
I’m sure we’ll also see a lot more covers with the soon-to-be First Lady (and later, First Man), than we have in the past four years.
We still have power, but we’ve once again been warned by Edison about it being shut off tonight. The winds are still kicking up hard. The fire north of us has been staying north, but tonight could change all that as air assets slow down or stop.
