Good morning, GN!

Should be a good week for JimCo, Fatwa. Does look like a decent storm this week.

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Wednesday salutations, Wheelizens!

G’day, early-rising Sven!

Yup…looks like the SFV’s expecting 1.6″ of rain tomorrow (down from 2.6″ inches forecast at the end of last week).

Paddy --

It is almost like magical thinking re leaks. Ditto the cost of repairing same, as many people “conveniently” neglect to factor in commute times, gas, the fact that no JimCo employees -- even the lowliest laborer -- make close to minimum wage, Workers Comp, liability, rising materials costs, etc.

Not to mention that we don’t have infinite manpower.

*Le sigh*

Morning GN. Did the big route in the snow. No real mishaps to speak of. Everything took a little longer. The papers arrived late. I finished around 7am.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……………….

Also kept in periodic contact with Harper via Telegram. Great App. If Antifa uses it, it HAS to be good.

I’m thinking that “equity” is going to be the word of the year and I’m already sick of it.

My solution to the student loan debt “crisis.” Eliminate federal income taxes on all adults carrying student loan debt until the debt is repaid. I like that better than the govt taking my tax dollars to repay the debts incurred by stupid people that made a bad decision.

Happy Hatching Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, Fatwa, and dv8!

dv8 -- glad you were able to safely navigate The Big Route in the snow.

Fatwa -- JimCo doesn’t have infinite, free manpower that is willing to live within walking distance of each and every worksite? And does high-quality work? Obviously this is a management problem!

Sven -- one problem with your student loan solution is that if tax receipts drop, the government will increase taxes on the rest of us to make up the difference. What if the government just declared the debts null and void, ignored their payment guarantee, and told the affected colleges and universities to suck it up? A lot of schools would probably close, but it would discourage people from trusting government-backed loans.

That might work as well.

I was never a Ron or Rand Paul fan, but Rand Paul has been lighting it up lately -- good speech yesterday on teh absurdity of this impeachment effort.

Hi, dv8 (and Harper) and Paddy!

I’m thinking that “equity” is going to be the word of the year and I’m already sick of it.

Yep.

As re the student loan “crisis”: people should just pay the debts they willingly incurred. (And yes, FTR is one of them.)

OTOH, Paddy’s solution certainly has its merits. 👿

Also, JimCo’s management is incompetent, uncaring and foully corrupt. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I paid off my student loans -- both the original ones and those incurred getting my teaching credential many, many years later. Both of my sons have paid off their student loans. If you can’t afford your loans, then find a less-expensive school.

Glad to hear about JimCo’s management. I would expect nothing less!
