So… I finished the “Delayed Dreadlock Project” wherein I waited a month (plus 3 more weeks of procrastination) so as to move the front locks back a bit and make them thicker.
My analysis of the result is: Partial success.
And then I noticed I missed a few, which I’m not quite done with.
I know this is not an important thing, but… just making conversation : )
Harper went with me on the Big Route last night. We talked about a lot of stuff. It was interesting and confusing, I had to make some U-turns. Pretty funny.
We’re both worried about Linux Rob. His working from home has not been going well for the last several months. If he loses his job, he loses his house (that he’s only had for like 6 years, so probably very little equity there.
Watching the impeachment circus, it seems the Dems have once again screwed teh pooch by voting to have witnesses called, meaning this farce won’t end today.
he hasn’t lost his job yet, but he’s been having trouble obsessing over politics--ya know, like we all have been doing--but he has those addict genes, so that means it’s hard to get his actual paid work done. Fortunately, his skillset is difficult to replicate, so Intel will do whatever it can to get him straightened out.
Linux-Rob has been clean and sober for over 25 or 30 years now. I think he should start back with AA meetings. Now I just have to get him to stop long enough to listen to me tell him. This is one for lots of prayer. Thanks for all your support, friends. You guys are great.
I made a concerted effort to stay up today, so that I can get to church tomorrow, I have to do their live stream and this week, there’s no one else that knows how to set it all up. So I think I’ll manage to get there.
Since Sven has been kind enough to suffer through the impeachment proceedings for us I thought I should do my bit, too, so I went back through Dante’s Inferno to see which circle of Hell those instigating said impeachment circus will spend their retirement in.
In Canto 32, Becca degli Abati, The Ninth Circle of Hell is the place for those who betray homeland or party. It was a very difficult choice as there were so many other ancillary sins presented in the text to choose from but I chose the most straightforward option.
Well it’s all over -- Trump acquitted 57-43. In terms of presentation, the Dems were better -- in terms of facts, arguments, and the law Trump’s team was better.

Hi, Dv8 -- I recall the name, Linux Rob, but I’m afraid I don’t recall who he is. When you have a moment, can you briefly refresh my memory?
Sven, sent you an email.
Thank you, Mac -- prayers for good fortunes for your friend, Dv8.
I am sorry about this. I have been worrying about him since he was attacked. He deserves so much better.
Thank you Mac (and Sven) He’s a good guy. very brilliant, but kinda difficult in some ways.
Good morning, Dv8, and happy Valentine’s Eve, GN. Mac’s thread pic reminds me that all things are relevant.
Watching the impeachment circus, it seems the Dems have once again screwed teh pooch by voting to have witnesses called, meaning this farce won’t end today.
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8, and Sven!
I’m sorry to hear about Linux Rob. I hope things improve and he is able to keep his house.
I wonder if Trump’s legal team will call witnesses? I hope they do better at cross-examination than they’ve done at everything else.
Hi, Paddy. Apparently the Dems backed off and it’s on to closing arguments.
Happy Caterday, everyone. Manners = washer.
Sven, thank you for watching the impeachment circus so I don’t have to. You’re a very good gerbil.

I’ll add him to my prayers.

this is about it though. I can’t stay up much longer. Just long enough to say goodnight to all y’all.

It was fun. I haven’t read it in years.
Thank you, Gentle Lady.
I’m sure our Gentle Harper could glance at that image and quickly tell us what key that piece is in, just by looking at the harp.
For me, keys are a mystery that no one ever explained.
Aww, thank you, Gentle Mac. I hope you’re well, Sir.

What a huge bucket of warm piss.
A good thought for the day: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2021/02/13/a-reminder-about-the-importance-of-fellowship/#more-207876
Thank you, Sven. That’s a good note to go to sleep on.
Take care, my friend.
Nitey-nite
Good night, Gentle Lady.
Mrs. Paddy and I took a couple of friends out to go wine tasting, then had a wonderful dinner. It was good to do something that felt like “normal”.
BTW, the beef cheeks bourgignon was incredible! I need to find some beef cheeks and make some ragu, or stew, or goulash, or something.
