Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy Fats Domino Tuesday, GN! (Nice one Mac!)

Paddy --

Glad to read your MiL’s birfday festivities were so successful; that company did a great job with the lawn decor. Hope all of the foofraw lifted her spirits. 😉

Sven --

While I can’t prove it, it sure “feels” like the November election was stolen. And the rat bastard GA GOP -- through inaction / complicity -- allowed the Senate runoff to be stolen, too. Not happy about having a spindly commie and a Joo-hating, racist “preacher” as my U.S. Senators.

Good morning, Fatwa -- hello, GN, and happy Tuesday.

I too am uncertain if there was actual voter fraud in the three states that gave the election to Biden. Or if it was pre-election manipulation by Dem politicians to change voter laws in their party’s favor coupled with media collusion to restrict the flow of information to voters. Or if Trump just legitimately lost.

Regardless, the closeness of the vote justifies honest added scrutiny and review of the results -- the problem with govt at most all levels and you can see that right now with the 1/6 riots -- is they proceed with the assumption that we do or should believe them.

Govt is a cheating spouse, one that has been caught cheating hundreds of times, and then is full of loud indignation and bullshit when you ask where they were and what were they doing after being missing for three days and they return home smelling of booze and sporting a new tattoo.

Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Fatwa -- yes, my MiL’s celebration was a wonderful spirit-booster. Those who dropped by also seemed happy to get out of the house for something other than grocery shopping.

In re the election: I’m more than a little bit angry that Kavanaugh and Barrett sided with the anti-Constitutionalists in refusing to take up the Pennsylvania cases. “Well, the election is over, so it doesn’t matter if they cheated” is not a sound basis for law.

Well it has stopped that “packing the court” bullshit -- perhaps that’s their olive branch to the dems to save their own asses.

Reading Alito and Thomas’ dissents, I wish that the Court had offered more than a “it’s moot” opinion. I think we deserve a longer explanation of their thinking, not that we are going to get one.

I see Tiger Woods was involved in a serious one-car accident. Seems like that’s not his first one.

Noticed flags flying at half staff today -- apparently to honor Americans dead from the Chinese Flu. That Harris-Biden WH -- sure on top of things.

That explains it!

BTW, the mortality rate in the U.S. has been increasing by about 1.2% per year since 2014. In 2019, a total of 2,854,838 resident deaths were registered in the United States. Preliminary data from the CDC indicates that 3,187,086 people died in 2020, or an increase of 332,250 deaths. What happened to the 500,000 COVID deaths?

Assuming a 1% increase in death rate, that would mean an expected death rate in 2020 of 8.88 per 1,000. With a population of 330,034,257 (according to Census.gov), that would give us an expected number of deaths in 2020 of 2,930,704. Comparing to actual deaths, that leaves us with 3,187,086 -- 2,930,704 = 256,382 excess deaths due to COVID. Of course we need to subtract the excess deaths due to drug overdoses and suicide, dropping the excess deaths due to COVID even further.

The site was down for me today. Until now. Although I’m out and about on my phone, so it may have been a DNS propagation issue.
