Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Friday…Teh Yay!!1!

Jim told me about the hail in SoCal; climate chaos…aieeeeee!

Didn’t see any of Uncle Choo-Choo’s TelePrompTed prattling; figured I’d see the lowlights today.

I think this should be the new POTUS “walk-on” music:

this puts me in mind of the old site mulletsgalore.com which is probably long gone. But introduced the idea of subclasses of mullet.

boy did it ever snow last night. But even though we were driving through a blizzard for most of the night, it was never cold enough for it to stick. There was only real snow on the ground on the airport mesa, which in Sedona is a thousand feet or so higher than the rest of town.

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and dv8!

dv8 -- thank you for allowing Harper to share your sonnets. They were truly a treat. You have many talents I wish I had, and the ability to write like that is one.

Yeah, well… That, and a time machine, and a dime… would make me a guy who utilized advanced technology for a frivolous reason….

And… that cup of nasty percolated coffee would taste like battery acid, ta boot.

But it would sure bring back memories*

*I’m glad you enjoyed them.

Also, Some years back… I saw a huge pile of percolators for sale at Wal Mart, for about 10 -- 20 bucks. I almost bought one because of that sort of idea that “ya might need this someday,” kinda thing.

I guess I was thinking along the lines of “this is a must have item in one’s fallout shelter??” or something. Still, all the while I was eying in the store I was imagining firing it up at home and brewing up some of that sweet, sweet battery acid tasting coffee.

Happy Friday, GN -- I’m taking the day off not because I have plans but just because. Hoping to get a few things done around the house and such.

Agreeing with Paddy -- thanks for sharing, Dv8 and Miss Harper -- quite enjoyable.

Sunny outside here now, but supposedly some rain later in the day.

Saw some of Basement Joe’s speech -- I wonder what drugs they are pumping into him and why those aren’t available to the general public suffering from dementia?

I read the transcript, then watched the opening and closing couple of minutes. There was both a significant change in his attention and alertness level at the beginning, when compared with his previous appearances, and a noticeable degradation by the end of the 20+ minute speech.

And once again, he forgot to put his mask back on when he was done speaking.

No greater example of racism as with Gov. Cuomo -- have you noticed that all of his accusers are white? What’s up with that? He’s unwilling to grope or flirt with POCs?

He must think women of color are beneath him.
Wait, that could be misinterpreted.
HIs unwillingness to create a hostile work environment for women of color, in the same manner that he does for white women, is a clear example of the systemic racism in the Governor’s office and must be condemned at the highest levels.
Also, his failure to sexually harass gays and transgenders is a clear indication of his homophobia and transphobia.

These are the rules we’re told we have to live by, aren’t they?

I’m not gonna riff on the Gov here. I’m just gonna call him Governor Meatball, like Michael Savage does.

Goofy and nerdy but quite fun -- these machines weigh up to 250 pounds.

It’s a pleasure to see mostly younger people building stuff that isn’t virtual.

I enjoyed my day off although I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked. Met a friend for lunch and it was to get out out. Funny, I shook his hand in greeting and he said “I haven’t shaken anyone’s hand in over a year.”

Hard to believe how much we’ve been beaten down this past year.

The Cuomo pile on continues. I hope he stays defiant and doesn’t resign. Reminds me that I need to buy more popcorn.
