PS: I finally got the Lycos Store to work. I figured out its quirks. I got the vintage spider shirt and a lycos doggo mug from the 2000s rebranding campaign.
Very glad your “D’oh…a deer!” incident -- which I don’t recall reading about previously -- didn’t do worse damage to you or your car. Criminy!
Also good on ya for figuring out yesterday’s thread pic.
I can’t think of a good gag for today’s thread pic, either. Perhaps something about “indigenous Americans”?
…if you need a Halloween proxy…
Appreciate the offer, Sven, but I wouldn’t ask you to break peoples’ windows on my behalf; I would prefer the satisfaction of doing it myself. (Ditto flaming bags of dog shit on their doorsteps.)
No, I don’t recall you mentioning putting Bambi on the grill.
ICWYDT, Mr. O’F.
BK Update: Felt really lousy all day yesterday and did a lot of sleeping; better this morning, so yay!
HH-A Update: Shysters continue to stall by playing the “the contract states…” game. (Apparently the language which makes clear they’re also supposed to farking pay us has escaped their eagle-eyed legal scrutiny.)
If we had a functional justice system, a drubbing with baseball bats would be a viable partial remedy at some point.

Somehow accomplished last night’s employment festivities in under 12 hours.
Very few mishaps. I did have to go to the PO and get mail bags--which I actually remembered to do.
I have a little cigarette lighter bluetooth thingy for when I have to drive an older car at work, so I can listen to soundcloud, or podcasts or whatever. Makes the Big Route go faster. Also has a couple of charging ports on it.
Not sure if I mentioned, but I finally took the shopvac to the interior of the old buick sedan. The first night I drove it I sneezed a lot and had itchy red eyes. So, much better now.
Somehow I misplaced my phone when I got back to the office while finishing up my work. But I retraced my steps and found it.
Also, for variety, I did the big route sorta backwards.
I did the first few stops as normal,
delivered the mail to the PO
Then I went up the canyon,
after which I went to the village of Oak Creek.
Then I just had the west sedona stuff to do.
I kinda did both sides of the highway until I passed my house,
Then I did the final bit as normal. That way, if I needed to stop
at home on the way back, I would be completely done by then.
But I opted not to stop. I just ran by the post office and got some mail bags, and then went back a wrapped things up.
Managed to do do the whole thing in about 11 hours. Pretty good for a Friday.
I watched “Pop Culture Crisis” while doing the mail by hand. And listened to Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh as well as Michael Savage podcasts while on the route.
Because I did it in a different order, it seemed to be more fun and engaging. Not sure of the psychology of that.
To whom it may concern:
Lycos still gives unbiased search results.
It can’t be integrated into most browsers unless they have open search engine entry.
It doesn’t display categories like images only, and such, Just purely web results.
It’s style is thoroughly trapped in the 90s, but it still works and will find a lot of things not found by other search engines.

I know there should be a joke I get from the thread pic, but I can’t figure it out.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday! (H/T: Paddy)

lol on the Biden meme! : )
Re Bambi: It was the good company car. We have a few others I can drive so it’s okay.
Good morning, Dv8, and Fatwa -- any day that starts with a coon thread pic is a good day.
Forty-five years ago today.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), Fatwa, and Sven!
‘Coons -- always willing to help out others when the stuff hits the fan. Cats will drive by in a motor yacht and ignore you.
dv8 -- glad your roadside rendezvous with nature didn’t damage you or your car.
Fatwa -- glad BK is doing better this morning. Sorry you’re still having to deal with shysters.
Sven -- 45 years ago. Hard to believe.
Yup. I wish I had roadkill dressing skills, but alas.
