Huh. The Raiders won yesterday, making them not the worse team in the NFL, although they still have several games left in the seaosn to capture that title.
The thread-gif certainly says it all. I just hope it’s not prophetic.
Sven -- that’s what some teams do -- they give you just enough hope to come back again, before pulling the rug out from under you.
Lot’s of errands on tap for today -- all related to Thursday. If I’m lucky, I won’t have to go the the market on Wednesday. Who am I kidding? I’ll have to go to the market on Wednesday and probably Thursday, as well.
After several months, Jack Tatum has finally discovered the catnip plant in the front yard and began devouring it. It’s in a planter box, so I took it away from him and he’s unhappy and sitting there waiting for me to bring it back. Not sure what we’ll do -- it’s not a good idea for him to eat too much and become dopey while in the “wild.”
Holliday schedule, I got to do my Monday work from the mid morning to the afternoon. Nice to be done with it already. My Tues/Wed shift should be normal, but my Thursday papers are coming a day early on Wednesday. That means I get to do my inside stuff on Wed and a bit early at that, and then do the Big Route on Thursday evening. I can go in right at sunset and do the Big Route. It’s not so tiring when it’s broken up like that.
Glad to hear that everyone is doing OK, Especially Brenda
Is Catnip a gateway drug? Just thinking out loud.
Color me appropriately happy and/or sad regarding the sportsball situation. I never had a neuro-typical friend with whom to embrace the sportsball thing, and I genuinely feel like I’m missing out. Celebrating the explioits of a favored team is an international equalizer which, at least in the past, has brought all different kinds of people together.
I do have the gene/y chromosome though, i.e. I seem to be drawn to sports. When it’s on a TV, I literally HAVE to watch it regardless of the game and my understanding of its rules (or lack thereof)
There’s something to be said about being a fan of a sports team. You don’t have to go berserk over it, but it does add an element of enjoyment to watching your team especially if you are with other fans.
When I look at leftie protests, they mimic sports fans. They got their team colors, their team’s chants, their game day. I’ll bet that there’s few if any sports fans in their ranks and this is how they fill that void.
It’s becoming an annual event -- PSPS on Thanksgiving Day. I know they shut off our power last year; I think they did it the year before as well. And once again, they are warning us today to prepare for it Thursday.
Looking ahead at the weather forecast, I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut off your power -- for the children. Nothing says, “We’ve got your safety in mind” than an undercooked turkey.
Well, if it’s for the children, then OK. Might be time to just try a turkey in the BBQ. This year is odd -- for the first time ever, it’s just me and Mrs Sven. Sniff. We could impose on some friends, but we’ll probably just tough it out on our own. Especially without power, I feel more comfortable at our house to keep an eye on things.
Arizona is becoming a blue state, so I’m considering contributing the Free State Project. Lot’s of people continue to move to New Hampshire. Lots of cheap yet big houses there. Amazingly cheap in some areas.
Happy Monday, boys.

Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

Hi, Paddy -- yeah, I’m not buying the “resurgent” Raiders meme. The Chargers on the other hand, I think have a shot at the playoffs.
It would be great to see the Chargers do well in the playoffs. Although I do wish they had been able to stay in SD.
It’s a good team, from what I’ve seen. This may not be their year, but I bet next season is.

Now that you’ve got him hooked, have you told him how much a taste is going to cost him? And I don’t mean payment in dead rodents.
I’ll never negotiate with cats or give them ultimatums. I thought the Sicilian side of my family held grudges, but they were pikers compared to cats.

I see it’s Shart Week on Teh Squeak Channel.
BK update: doing pretty well, for which I am very thankful.
Fatwa update: hating my customers -- and my job -- this week.
Thanks for checking in, Fatwa. I’m glad to hear about BK and sorry about your work issues.
Happy Monday, everyone.
Still on TOR. Copying the thread pic link.
Pasting into Brave.
Lol!
I think I’ve seen that Shark before.
He might work at the Red Rock News.
I don’t recall.

Damn. But moving is a pain.
I know.
I don’t know if it makes sense anymore to look at blue or red states rather than blue or red counties.

CA truly sucks.
