Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

I always hated the “interview with the raccoon” phase of looking for a job.

Teh Intertube Godz have granted me access again; seems sorta capricious but I’m glad for it.

Been a busy week prepping for the SoCal rains as best we can; glad they’re not forecast to be too heavy. (Pretty burned-out on JimCo right now mostly due to customer idiocy. And, if course, venality.)

Brenda update: Tuesday was a bit of a rough day for her; yesterday was better and she’s currently sleeping. In-general, her progress has been quite positive but it ain’t a smooth linear progression.

HH-A update: More stalling games, which the AAA keeps letting them get away with. We filed our Demand for Arbitration nearly seven months ago and have made no discernible progress. On a pretty simple Breach of Contract case. Bah!

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!

Be careful when interviewing with a raccoon -- they can tell when you’re lying. Also when you have treats in your pocket. Never do both at the same time. Never.

Fatwa -- I’m glad BK continues to improve. The set-back days are hard, but hopefully fewer and fewer. I’m sorry you and JimCo continue to be plagued by both HH-A HOA and spineless attorneys at the AAA.

Teh Younger called last night. About a year ago he was in a car accident during a rainstorm on the freeway. He hydroplaned into a Mercedes. The driver is now claiming he had a concussion and has continual headaches. The driver’s attorney figures that $10/hr, 16 hr/day, for the next 20 years should cover it (about $1 million). Or, they’re willing to settle for his policy limit of $50k. Scumbags, obviously.

Say what you want, but a perfectly good coon is an honest coon.

Good day, Fatwa, and Paddy. Fatwa, I’m surprised that “they” let you back on teh wheel, but glad that “they” did. Paddy, does the Mercedes owner live in the same bldg that JimCo is fighting over? Cut from the same cloth.

Dv8 -- 12.5 hours is a good long shift -- rest up.

Drive-by:

Heya, Paddy and Sven!

Paddy --

Bummed to read about Teh Younger’s accident woes. Weird that despite the claim the “case” is worth $1M, they’re willing to settle for 5% of that. Too bad that’s chump change to insurance companies these days; I suspect they’d love to just cut a check, stick Teh Younger with increased rates for a few years and be done with it.

(If you can get the “concussed” driver to the same location as the original “bus driver” for HH-A, I’d offer to do a solid for Teh Younger with the same 2″x4″ I’d like to use on the HH-A shitbag. “I’ll show you ‘concussed’…”)

Being law-abiding and ethical hardly pays in the current year. Wreaking terrible vengeance seems to be a much more viable option at this point.

I read that Congress and Brandon are shoving an agreement down the throats of the unions to keep the railroad running -- no sympathy for either side in this one.

If the railroads are shut down by a strike before Christmas, all hell will break loose, and Brandon can’t let that happen.

Pass the popcorn.

Maybe they’ll do a sickout or a wildcat strike -- Brandon will blame that on Trump, though.
