I was watching something on cable news last night and the story was about some group of academics wanting to change scientific language to be less offensive. The usual stuff: women egg donors; men sperm donors, etc. What struck me was a statement something along the lines that they recognize science as being dominated, for far too long, by racist whites, colonialism, and the patriarchy.
My takeaway: if that’s the case, that model worked for several hundred years and provided huge insights into all manner of things, so why change it?
Good morning, Sven. They have been telling us to “trust the science” in a way that is anathema to science, and now they are telling us science needs to yield to political correctness. Lysenkoism is alive and well in the Left today.
