Just a routine cleaning, and the tech is extremely good, thank you. I just have too much memories of childhood. We had a real jerk of a dentist. He was always gentle and obsequious with the parents but took pleasure in causing pain to kids. He also farmed, nicking a nearby tooth when filling a cavity he started earlier. Lots of cavities each visit. He hurt me so badly with the Novocain needle I had several cavities filled and even some extractions done without Novocain. I thought this normal for years, until I had a different dentist at the same office and it was a world of difference. Much less pain and almost no cavities. I found out later he had a reputation for farming. Of course the parents thought he was a fine dentist as he knew to treat them well. It left me with a big problem with dentists, but a strong appreciation for good ones. It did not help that my lower jaw does not seem to get numb from Novocain. Having a root canal done without being numb tends to end a course of treatment early.
Damn. That’s a handsome looking coon. A “perfectly good coon” as someone once said.
