Good morning, GN. Mac, hope that Elena and her family are doing as well as they can and you as well.
Paddy -- hope your school duties are proceeding appropriately.
Now that we are past the Santa Ana wind/fire warnings, SoCal adroitly shifts to flood and mudslide cautions as a minor winter storm rolls in tonight. I didn’t watch any of the Trump visit yesterday, but I heard from two people who gleefully told me that Trump ripped LA-CA govt officials. Good for him.
Today is clean up day for me and other assorted chores. Trees lost a couple of branches and I need to take care of those.
Happy Saturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Sven -- I hope your clean-up work goes well and that the branches aren’t too big.
I heard from a teacher that the reason a couple of students didn’t take their final exams is that they didn’t want to have their camera on and have everyone else see them.
::facepalm::
We can deal with these things individually, if we know about them.
I work with high school students -- 14-18 years old. They have opportunities to meet with their supervising teacher, along with their content teachers, but most don’t take advantage of the opportunities and are just doing independent study. For those students, there is never a need to have their camera on.
Thread pic: Not sure what to make of this one.

How old are your students, Paddy? During the normal course of a school day, don’t they have their cameras on at least some of the time?

I’m not yet tired of winning, but watching Trump this past week is making me tired.
It’s been a busy first week.
One of the best buys I’ve made:https://www.imoum.com/collections/imoum-mini-chainsaw/products/imoumlive-brushless-6-inch-chainsawdjls6-model
Makes cutting branches a breeze. Good power and the batteries last a long time.
I bet that’s a lot easier than using a hand saw!
