A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good afternoon, Sven, and Mac!
I had an interesting start to my day. Shortly after leaving, Mrs. Paddy gave me a call to tell me that her car had died. She managed to turn into a residential area, but was stuck in the middle of the street. I drove to her location, realized that the two of us were not going to push her car uphill to an empty spot on the curb and proceeded to match bumpers and push her car into a parking spot. We were able to start her car, but within 10 seconds it shut off with a “power system failure -- do not drive” message. We’ll get it towed to the dealership on Monday morning. I’m sure glad this didn’t happen on the freeway!
Gerbils give good advice! I went to the ER today. The Doctor gave me an IV of antibiotics and a new set of pills that she wants me to take with the ones I already have. She was not happy with waiting until Wednesday to see the specialist so she said if the redness moves any farther up the leg I need to be admitted into the hospital. They did an ultrasound looking for clots and found none but the blood flow is very small so she is worried the antibiotics will not get to the lower leg and foot fast enough.
She also said I need to cut way back on lidocaine. I am getting way too much and it can have bad side effects. That was bad news. Tonight I just sprayed some on a gauze pad and dabbed it on, then used the older Neosporin with pain meds but not lidocaine. Does not work as well but I think I can sleep.
Tomorrow is going to be busy trying to get set up with the specialist.
Thread pic: Huh. Star Wars.
Speaking of movies, I watched Gladiator 2 the other night. Awful.
Good morning, GN.
We saw that when it came out on streaming. It was rather poor. Elena liked the action but I was hoping for better.

Glad you got safely out of the road -- could this have anything to do with dead battery from last week?
I don’t think so. The intertubes suggested a failed fuel pump, which would be ironic because she had the fuel pump replaced because of a recall.
