Jack Tatum has been back to his feral ways this past week coming home to eat, ignoring us, and then disappearing for 1-2 days. Lather, rinse, repeat. Late last night I saw that his food bowls were empty but he was nowhere to be found and I sadly asked Mrs Sven why he hates us now. Around 3:00 this morning, I was surprised to hear him climb into bed with us purring and demanding that we pet and rub him. He’s still sleeping with Mrs Sven and at least for few hours he’s our cat again.
We had Mrs. Paddy’s car towed into the dealership this morning. They got back to us a few hours later. The problem was the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced 3 or 4 months ago under a recall. It seems there was a little problem when they installed the new one. They pinched the gasket, which led to the failure. At least there was no charge, although I shudder to think what would have happened if Mrs. Paddy had gotten on the freeway before it failed.
I got an appointment with the wound care Doctor for tomorrow at 9:00am. We scouted the route today. I am a bit of a wreck. Glad they got me in earlier. The ER Doc was not happy about Wednesday, she wanted to put me in the hospital that night. We will leave at 7:00 or 7:30 tomorrow. I hate mornings!
I’m sorry you have to go through all this, but glad that you are attending to it -- you’d be in much worse shape the longer you waited. Prayers for fortitude and healing.
In case I end up in the hospital, There is no thread up for Thursday and after. Sorry, I meant to put up another week but today was just too much.I hope it does not happen.
Mac -- don’t worry about threads. Sven and I can surely find pictures of cats being obnoxious to fill any days you are out.
I’m glad you’re getting in to see the wound care specialist tomorrow. I’m also glad the antibiotics are working. There’s no reason to be in constant pain if it can be helped.
Thread pic: Being a college dropout, this one is beyond me.
Good morning GN and happy Cinco de Quatro.
Glad you went in, Mac. Real healing can now begin and you’ll be back up on your feet in no time!

Happy “I didn’t mean that” Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Mac -- I’m glad you’ve got someone starting on your wound care. I think it was the right move.
Sven -- cats. They are expert manipulators.

Good on them for taking care of it right away and that no accident or damage occurred.
So frustrating when a new unit fails. At least they were up front about it. Easy to just claim a defective part.

It seems the antibiotics are working, the pain and swelling were better this morning.
