All showered and caffeinated for a trip to Harbor Freight (jealous, TeX?) to purchase 2″ flooring cleats, after which SiL and I will pick-up oak flooring (so it can begin acclimating) and then commence installing all of the recently painted library trim. And, perhaps, the office crown moulding, too.
Started refinishing my IKEA Ivar shelving unit (which will be going in the office) yesterday; GoodWifeK’s little Makita orbital sander was a goodness.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
If it’s Thursday, it must be Test Day! Yes, I gave a quiz last Thursday, there is a test today, and a quiz next Thursday. Few other classes give tests on Thursday, so I’m not overloading my students.
Fatwa -- you’re becoming quite the handyman -- a regular Norm Anderson. Maybe you could parlay this into a TV show -- Jew Yankee Workshop.

Me? No. The smell of cosmoline doesn’t do anything for me. 😉
I liked trips to Harbor Freight when the used book store was two doors down. Since it moved…
Happy Birfday V, Fatwa! And you asked for it…
I demand just, equitable compensation for my hurt feelings.
Other than that, I ain’t got much. We’re heading into production mode, and I’ve still got a metric sh¡t-ton of stuff to do. If I get left alone to do it, it should be OK. We’ll see.
Tonight’s “Citizen’s Police Academy” is all about building-clearing. With Airsoft guns. With pellets that apparently hurt more than paintballs. o_0
Should be a bit of an adrenaline rush if the vehicle stops are any indication…

Yeah. but I bet the Special Snowflakesâ„¢ think you are. Good luck!
And good luck to Mac and Rabeet -- tonight looks like it could be a rough one weather-wise. Then again, with our weather-guessers, who knows?
SiL is (unsurprisingly) doing an amazing job trimming-out the library. It’ll be significantly closer to completion after today; yay!
And the red oak flooring is acclimating in teh office; hope we’ll be able to start installing that in a week or so. (In the meantime, I’ve got plenty of shelving to repaint. And a desktop to refinish, plus other menial stuff suited to my “meh” handyman skill-level.)
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, GN.
Thatisall.
(I r lamer this morning.)
