I presume I’m not teh only Wheelizen who’s been having trouble loading the site the past few days; have gotten 500 errors or stuff simply won’t download from teh server. (Does Jerry have unionized server hamsters??) 😉
Trayvon Martin’s “girlfriend” admitted this morning that she was not the writer of the letter to Mrs. Martin allegedly detailing what she heard on the phone right before he was killed:
In a painfully embarassing [sic] moment, Rachel Jeantel was asked to read the letter out loud in court.
“Are you able to read that at all?” defense attorney Don West asked.
Jeantel, head bowed, eyes averted whispered into the court microphone, “Some but not all. I don’t read cursive.”
While this is a deeply cynical thing even for me to say, I would not be surprised if the handwriting turns out to belong to someone very close to Mrs. Martin. (IYKWIMAITTYD)
I hope that no one on that jury will vote to convict Zimmerman based on the testimony of this woman. I believe that she was on the phone with Martin when he encountered Zimmerman, but there’s so much possibility of coaching and intimidation from the Martin camp that you have to discount most of what she says-whether true or not.
Outside the scope of the trial, at least for now, but it’s interesting to go back 16 months and review how the likes of Sharpton, Crump, etc mischaracterized and lied about this witness and her account.

Day two, waking up without a headache -- between the muscle relaxers, some pain pills, and heat, much of the body aches have subsided, so that’s a goodness.
But I’ve had troubles getting on Teh Wheel too, so I guess it’s everybody!

The other goodness is my MiL did NOT have a stroke, just a little contraindicated-meds seizure. The hospital is going to keep her ’til tomorrow, just to be sure.
Then maybe, my SiL will actually be able to get some sleep.
