No ball-jiggling for Jerry this morning owing to the unattributed Hillary quote; that’s terribly disrespectful to The World’s Smartest Woman™.

That’s funny about Mr. X and teh former San Diego mayor (who presumably neither put Mr. X in a headlock nor grabbed his butt).
It comes down to tax revenue and campaign contributions is my cynical take on things.

As George Bernard Shaw said, “The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.” (A favorite quote as it’s a good defense against accusations of being a cynic. You’d be shocked, shocked at how frequently that outrageous charge is leveled against me.)

Very pleased you dropped-by; regards to you and TRD.

You and Elena, family and friends are still in our thoughts. I’m certain the CDs and DVDs you made will help folks continue to celebrate Mama Mouse’s “life well-lived”.
I havent smoked pot in more than 30 years-never much cared for it even when I did. Anyhow, my friend who lost his wife a couple of months back has been drinking too much and decided to switch over to marijuana to get through his days. Yeah, it is a cause for concern, but that’s another story. Anyhow, so how do you legally get pot in LA?
Apparently, it’s fairly simple. First, you have to find a doctor to give you a medical marijuana card. Of course, there’s clinics and such that only do just that. My friend found one near his home and drove on over. The clinic was full up with patients waiting to be seen; to keep them entertained while waiting, they were showing a movie on their 60″ TV in the waiting room. Next to that, a barista and coffee cart right in front of a game room complete with video gaming consoles. He waited about half an hour while filling out some scant forms and was then shown in to see the doctor.
No examination-just a couple of questions. Why do you want marijuana? I have anxiety and headaches. OK, good to go. Here’s a card, good for a year, and some stickers to put somewhere. Keep it with you at all times. $40.
So then the next hurdle; where to buy it? My friend thought it would be one-stop shopping: doctor/product. No. So he goes online and finds a place nearby. That delivers. That will also sell and deliver and any paraphernalia that you might need. So he settles on a new pipe, some pipe screens, and a quarter oz of product: total cost $65.
Considerably harder to buy a gun.
I’ll give him a call later today to see how he’s doing.
Well, considering the non-deadly nature of pot, good. The price is not much lower than what I paid black market out there up ’til ’04, even factoring-in teh pipe and screens; sort of surprising.
Jerry has been quiet-I think he might have been in Santa Monica yesterday:
“That sentiment was repeated often by the 20 other mothers who, along with Biddle, participated in the Big Latch-On event at Santa Monica’s Douglas Park on Saturday, trying to break the world record for synchronized breast-feeding.”
Good morning from steamy, Happy Larryville, GN!

Good morning and Happy Sunday!
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
It was nice to see JtB last night.
Football season kicks off today with the Hall of Fame game. Besides the Pro Bowl, this is the one that I couldnt care less about.

Pay-up time for Brawley: ’87 rape-hoaxer finally shells out for slander

But race-hustler Sharpton still hasn’t apologized for trying to ruin a man’s life.
About damned time that liar started paying up…which is more than Sharpton ever did. (He got a few buddies to pony-up the damages he was assessed.)
Hope your friend’s doing okay, Sven.

Thanks, Fatwa. He aint doing all that well and I’ve kinda run out of things to say or do to help him.
Just letting him know you’re out there and give a carp can’t hurt; not much you can do beyond that.

Talk about your target-rich environment!
Indeed. I was also thinking that since the Olympics has dumped wrestling as an event, maybe they could replace it with this.
