Cats got nuthin’ on coons and they do love them some grapes.
Mrs Sven made it safely to the Midwest yesterday ought to be embarking on a wonderful journey of corporate learning. Yeah, right….
Some good news for us in our area:
Fantastic and Amazing News!!! The Planning Commission voted to deny the Colton Lee project 3-2 with Foy and Long being the only 2 ‘for’ the development. Bennett, Parks, and Zaragoza definitely ‘Saved the Knolls’ with their vote to deny the project.
After many hours of presentations and lots of speakers from the Knolls the Supervisors voted and at about 6:30 the development was denied!!!!
Thank you to everyone that was able to make it out to the meeting – we filled the room with a sea of red which made a HUGE impact to the Board.
Thank you to the ENTIRE neighborhood who supported the cause over the past 10+ years with attending many, many meetings, writing letters, making and posting signs, passing out fliers, and generally getting the word out to everyone about the negative affects of this project.
This ‘NO’ vote on the project shows you what a determined and united neighborhood can do!!!! CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!
Merry Mid-Week Morning from Happy -- and chilly -- Larryville, GN!

Is today’s thread GIF from teh Svens’ Mountain Redoubt KitchenCam? (That window treatment looks slightly familiar.) 😉

Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
I see Sven added grapes to the ‘coons diet. I guess it is a little early for beer and peanuts.
Good morning, Sven!
That’s great news on the Knoll project!
Hai, Sven and Paddy!

Glad Mrs. S arrived safely; hope teh “corporate learning” isn’t a complete wankfest.
Excellent news re the Knolls project; nice to see that -- every once in a while -- the unwashed rabble formerly known as “citizens” can still prevail.
Resser. Fresser.
Meep?

Yeah, guys, the vote was quite unexpected--everyone was planning for the worse.
Hot out here today--hit 90 in the Valley.
Heard from Mrs Sven. She’s enjoying the chilly weather and so far work hasnt been too unpleasant.
You know what I’ve been eating darn near every day for the past 6 weeks? Schadenfreude. It’s really quite yummy.
I hope it’s low carb.
Of course. Nothing but healthy schadenfreude for me, Mac.
