Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
That lack of wind sure helped with control of the fire in Glendora. I heard last night that residents were allowed back in their homes (except for the five families who are now homeless).
We’ve got one more week of class before final exams, so of course now I get communication from parents asking how their special snowflake can improve their grade. In fact I have a meeting this afternoon with one such parent. Excuse me, didn’t you pay attention when the notice was sent out stating that your child was in danger of failing, is neglecting their homework, and has poor work habits?
Glad to hear the Santa Anas have died-down without any major incidents; yay.
Saw an article yesterday which indicated that NSA spooks are quite unhappy with Snowden; the various individuals quoted really didn’t seem to understand that some Americans deeply resent the blanket Hoovering of their data -- meta or otherwise.
The bureaucratic culture at the NSA seems to be fatally diseased; “patriots” do not violate constitutional rights without a damned good reason; police state goons do.
“In a world where I would not be restricted from killing an American, I personally would go and kill him myself,” a current NSA analyst told BuzzFeed. “A lot of people share this sentiment.”
“I would love to put a bullet in his head,” one Pentagon official, a former special forces officer, said bluntly. “I do not take pleasure in taking another human beings life, having to do it in uniform, but he is single handedly the greatest traitor in American history.”
Charmed, I’m sure.
Too damned bad if Snowden embarrassed them.
And given the amounts of raw data they’ve been sucking-up, I’m not buying that teh Snowden revelations have made their jobs more difficult; the volume of data is doing that all by itself.
Good morning,
Weird outside this morning--it’s quiet and still. For the first time in a week, there’s no wind. Disorienting.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!

Funny, I’d probably rate Obama higher than Snowden on the list of greatest American traitors. He’s clearly the bigger liar.
Kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt, kilt and kilt.
It’s not you Fatwa, I think it’s the darn cats.
