Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa and Sven!
My CTA rep emailed my on Monday that the Chief Personnel Officer at my district wanted to know by Friday whether I was going to resign or not (at the meeting on Friday she said I could resign -- didn’t ask me to, just offered it as a possibility). Yesterday my CTA rep called me to ask if I had made a decision. She seemed surprised when I said I had no plans to resign. I tell you, I’ve been wasting $1000 a year on teacher’s unions.
She seemed surprised when I said I had no plans to resign.
Going to make them work for it, eh? Good!
So sorry you have to deal with this utter shite. If only you’d done something inappropriate and/or criminal…then teh yoonyun would be falling all over itself to defend you.
I tell you, I’ve been wasting $1000 a year on teacher’s unions.
Sad “heh”.
Are you going to force them to live-up to all of their by-laws wherein defending you is concerned? (If so, don’t neglect to review Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”.)
As a matter of fact (although actual facts don’t seem to matter) that is what I’ve been accused of.
I’m going to have to do more research into just what the obligations of teh yoonyun are and how I can bypass the worthless waste of air that purports to represent me.
I’ve done plenty of inappropriate things in the workplace--even a few illegal ones; I imagine that Fatwa has done some too--inappropriate that it is; maybe even Tex. You? With the exception of Mac, I can’t imagine anyone less likely to do something illegal or inappropriate. Pardon my French, but no fuckin’ way.
1. I can’t believe that the place I work at has actually better email retention and archiving practices than apparently any federal govt organization.
2. I can’t believe that Constitutional law professor extraordinaire Barack Obama got that recess appointment thing so wrong.
3. I can’t believe that the EPA hired people that don’t even know how to use a toilet.
4. I can’t believe how them Mexican and South American folks were bamboozled into thinking that if they shipped their kids hundreds or thousands of mile north to the US that they could come along too.
It’s all so very confusing. Black is white, up is down, and all that.
Today House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) turned up the heat on Lois Lerner and subpoenaed 28 years of Lerner’s emails from 1986 until the present day.
Paddy, I’m sorry you are facing this. It does not surprise me much given the rotten state of the system and the injustice that seems so ubiquitous, but my faith in you and your character and my respect for you could not be higher.
Sven, thanks for the nice thoughts but while I tried to be professional and proper at work, as far as illegal I am afraid I would be at the bottom of the list here. I believe very strongly in the Second Amendment. That has influenced my conduct for over 20 years now.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, GN!
Cheap Shot Dept.: Wherein teh EPA’s concerned, I think they’re more properly called bureaucraps.
Oooooh…we should have a logo design contest!
Someone suggested calling them the Washington Pederasts and that the logo could have a silhouette of Dingy Harry. 😉
My first approximation: The Washington Constitution Shredders; their logo is a velociraptor with a bad hairpiece sundering the Constitution.
Go Shreds!
I can see the Shredders as a possibility.
Good morning and good day--only today and tomorrow left in this week and for that I am quite thankful.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!

The CTA has very deep pockets; just sayin’.

Thank you, Sven. I appreciate that.
What Sven said.
I find myself baffled today.
1. I can’t believe that the place I work at has actually better email retention and archiving practices than apparently any federal govt organization.

Keerist…Issa really is an asshole:
Lemme know how that goes, Darrell.
Yeah, we’re working on that. BTW, I’m going to need you to work this weekend…
