It’s really farking crummy the way you’re being treated by the school district. Glad you’re not going to let them off easy but very sorry they’re behaving like the proverbial “bag of dicks”. I concur with Mac that you’re exactly the sort of teacher this country needs more of.
Increasingly, sending one’s kids to public school is, IMHO, a form of child abuse. I’m very glad the Favorite Small Relatives are being home-schooled; SiL seems to be doing a marvelous job.
MamaK and PapaK’s attic is pretty-much emptied -- into the recently-cleaned and pressure-washed garage, but still…
I made a storage locker run with PapaK while teh ladies went through clothes from the attic. On the way back, I got an alert on my phone and discovered the display had gone to hell. (Can still make and receive calls using voice-dialing and Bluetooth headset, but cannot even power cycle it.)
Went to a local (to us) T-Mobile store as it’s still under warranty; a new headset will allegedly be delivered today. (And I’m really glad I hadn’t über-customized mine with downloaded widgets / apps, although I may look into rooting the new one in order to back it up in the event of a recurrence.)
Paddy,
What everyone’s said. The whole situation saddens me and pisses me off, and throwing muscle into the mix just adds insult. B@stards.
This week went to hell before it even started, even getting through Tuesday was a bear. Having the veneer pop off my front tooth last Friday night didn’t help. Good thing Mr. X already had an appointment I could steal.
From the very little news I’ve seen on the TV (and the less I hear from that man-child in the WH the better), I’m just glad we’re in Texas.
Fishing at the end of the day does a lot to bleed off a bit of stress. And the pups definitely like bluegill.
Other than that, I don’t have much -- but I may have some “project” showing off to do at the end of the weekend. And it involves Edison bulbs (marrying the electrician was SUCH a good idea)!
*mwah*! and prayers for all y’all -- asked for and not.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, GN!
Mac’s thread GIF elicited a bit of a double-take:

Good morning, Fatwa and TeX!
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I really do appreciate them.
I look forward to your project pictures, TeX.
Just to echo X; prayers for all.
Good night, friends.
