Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, brainless coffee-less Fatwa!
I meet with the new attorney this morning -- we’ll see how that goes -- then I get to swing by the yoonyun office to sign some paperwork authorizing authorizing group legal services. After that I think I’ll clean up the kitchen and maybe go to the market. I need to work in the garage, but I really don’t want to do that in this heat.
I’m afraid I caused GoodWifeK an unpleasant night due to being very restless; every time I got out of bed, I let (relatively) cold air under the sheet, alternating with getting back in, dozing fitfully and “mummifying” myself. I suspect the only thing which prevented my being shoved was the fact I’d have likely taken the entire sheet with me. (It’s fortunate there was no readily accessible cast iron pan or rolling pin.) 😉

Hope the new attorney is a bulldog. Or a shark. Perhaps a sharktopus.
I met with the new attorney this morning and all I can say is why did my yoonyun refer me to that first firm? She was aghast that I didn’t have a yoonyun attorney working on the criminal aspects of my case (interfacing with the DA, etc.) and emailed my yoonyun rep to get her started on the paperwork for the referral. I talked with that attorney this afternoon and meet with him tomorrow morning. He was also aghast.
On the bad news side, once the District moves to dismiss, my hearing wouldn’t be until mid-June, at the earliest -- meanwhile I would be on unpaid leave. If a date in June isn’t available, it may not be held until next September. The attorney warned me that administrators don’t like to go against other administrators, so they would probably lie on the stand (“I received a few complaints and informally counseled Mr. O’Furnijur over the years.”) She’s going to contact the District’s attorney and investigate a settlement.
Good news and bad news. I’m hoping that there’s some offensive action you can take for the shabby way they’ve treated you. Not just shabby, but seems if not illegal, at least unethical.
Monday?!?! Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Hope teh SoCal contingent gets some relief from the heat soon.
I’m extra-zombified this morning; more later. Need more

I kept waking up being shoved around, so I completely understand “Must be married”.
Good morning!

We’ll see what happens.

Fatwa -- just replace ‘Hummel’ with ‘Capodimonte’.
I can hardly imagine what you are going through, Paddy. Thoughts and prayers and wish I could do more.
Still hot out here--like 88 degrees hot right now. With no sun: how does that work?
No fires though.
