Maaaan…either the owner of the truck in the thread pic had an elaborate practical joke pulled on them and/or the seriously pissed someone off.
====================
My replacement Nexus 5 phone -- which I’ve had for almost four months -- carped its own bed yesterday morning. It shut itself down while I was reading a text message and wouldn’t fully reboot. Took it to the T-Mobile store and they’re sending another replacement which I hope will arrive today, especially given the weather in Los Angeles,
Damned thing spun its wheels on the boot screen from about 11:00 a.m. until the battery drained some eleven hours later. At which point I plugged it in, gave it a few minutes to charge and then tried booting it again; same deal.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
Teh Younger finished his finals yesterday and thinks he did well on them. He flies home this evening. Work on clearing out non-native, invasive tree-like plants (bottle brush and pepper tree) from our slope continues today. With those removed, hopefully the native plants Mrs. Paddy planted years ago will have a chance to recover and thrive.
Once again, I find that T-Mobile lied to me regarding the delivery date of the replacement phone. A Nastygramâ„¢ will be sent via certified mail to their CEO. With fakey-pretend CCs to pertinent regulatory agencies, because I’ve found that a laundry list of them on legitimate complaint letters tends to garner more attention; muwahahahahahaha!
We are once again on STORM WATCH in SoCal. Should bring a smile to Fatwa’s face.
I cut out of work early today; just couldnt hack it. It aint hard work, but smells more and more like BS ever day.
Watched the series finale of Sons of Anarchy. Not bad, but the show lost a lot of its luster for me the last 3-4 seasons. Looking forward to Justified starting back up.
OMG -- Storm Watch 2014 (December Edition)!!!!!!111!!11!ZombieBBQPoniesAlpacaLips!!!
We’ll probably get 1″ in the coastal regions, moar in teh foothills. NorCal is getting hammered (they’re getting lots of rain, too!). Maybe this will help clean the streets of San Francisco -- probably not.
Good morning, GN!

Perhaps the third time will be the charm. 😉

I think it was Cali who posted this long ago with a warning not to PO a guy with a backhoe. A HT to The Heavy Equipment Guy.
Well done, sir.

Suitably appropriate thread pic, Mac.

But it will cut down on the protests and looting in Oakland.
Is that a feature or a bug, there?
Or force them filthy gol-durned hippies to bathe.
