We dropped off Teh Younger at LAX last night for a flight back to college. His flight was scheduled to depart at 8 pm but didn’t end up leaving until nearly 10:30 pm, which included a plane change and an hour on the tarmac waiting for some problem to be fixed. He arrived in Denver just in time to miss his connecting flight -- which was also delayed. His only options -- wait 24 hrs for the next scheduled flight, or wait 8 hrs for a flight to Chicago with a connection to his final destination. If the second choice doesn’t experience any hiccups, he’ll arrive almost 13 hours late.
Pro-tip: don’t fly Frontier Airlines.

So sorry to read about Teh Younger’s travel woes; hope his trip goes as smoothly as possible.
(On one of my multiple trips to Cleveland in the aftermath of Dad’s death in early ’02, I got to BUR in plenty of time. However, the then-new TSA had too few fondlers on-duty, which resulted in missing my first flight. Spent nearly 17 hours in-transit to CLE with an itinerary designed by Rube Goldberg.)
Better make another run to teh dump before my wife gets home; BBL.
Teh Younger finally made it out of Chicago -- he didn’t have to change planes, so no worries about making his connecting flight -- and should arrive 15 hours behind schedule.
