The GA state legislature will be debating a medical pot bill this coming week. (They actually passed one in freakin’ 1980 but it was never implemented because of problems caused by the DEA and National Institute on Drug Abuse.)
And the state sheriff’s organization is trying to block this one; while they won’t come right out and say so, I guaran-damn-tee the opposition is really because it would impede civil asset forfeiture. (Which, despite spin to the contrary re Eric the Horrible’s recent edict re same, is very much alive and well; it’s a very narrow change. Because FY, TW.)

This afternoon Teh Older and I are going to our local craft brewery for their release of a bourbon barrel aged porter. If past experience is any guide, it should be very good -- and complex.

I must confess that was not deliberate; just a happy accident.
Maaaaaaan…that bourbon barrel-aged porter sounds good; my beer tastes (such as they are) run heavily towards porters, stouts, etc. And bourbon is far and away my favorite distilled refreshment.

The beer was wonderful! Aged for a full year, the bourbon notes blended well with the porter and mellowed things nicely.
