Excellent Monday thread pic, Mac. (I’m nearly 59 but still amused by toilet-related humor; guess I’m “young at heart”.)
Liked Paddy’s definition of “intermediately” and suspect he’s right. (Sven, if you’re interested, I believe I have a “how-to” for hacking electronic road signs…not that I would ever do such a thing.)
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Up early to take Mrs. Paddy to the airport. She’s headed to Denver, where it is reported to be cold with snow arriving tonight. At the moment, it looks like she’ll miss the weather both coming and going, so that’s a goodness.
Just warm enough to melt the ice and snow here with rain on the way. At least it improved enough I could open the window a bit. Needed that and all the exhaust fans going cause I just cooked two pounds of bacon. I’ll be eating GOOD!
There was a time we could feel smug about that but then Ruby Ridge, Waco, and a President claiming the power to kill American citizens without due process or accountability.
The President, members of Congress and many other public officials at all levels take an oath to the Constitution; almost all of them violate it with impunity. IMHO, we’d be substantially better off if they were compelled to take their oaths seriously by facing grave consequences for their failures to do so.
And I’m mostly past the point of caring how this is accomplished; as it currently stands, we live in an effectively lawless country and I’m not okay with that. Our Founders not only warned us, they did a good job of making certain we had a way to fight lawlessness and tyranny.
It has been many years since I’ve believed this can be accomplished peaceably.
So tomorrow when all those Democrat seats are empty in Congress, when the President is busy on the golf course, when Joe Biden is out with some butt-buddy or groping someone’s wife, and John Kerry is doing something reminiscent of Genghis Khan, will American Jews finally begin to realize that the Dems aint their friend and no friend of Israel?
Monday again…gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

BBL.
Good morning,
When I can, I’ll take a picture of the offending road signs.
Yeah, Monday. Sucks. Not happy with it.
Wet and cold outside, but nothing like what the rest of the country is experiencing.

Hai, Sven and Paddy!
We’re headed for 61ºF today; supposed to be in the 70s Wednesday…but with some below-freezing nights this week, too.
Safe travels to Mrs. Paddy; hope the good weather holds for her flights.

Drive-by:
Hai, Mac!
Yeah, but what are you going to eat tomorrow?
The following turned up in my Twtter feed as a Retweet over the weekend; sorry about the lack of attribution.

At least Putin is a little discreet, the Russians can pretend he isn’t a power hungry little dictator with a pen and a phone.
And none of the responsible public officials were ever held to account for Waco or Ruby Ridge.
I’m still rather startled that nobody died in the Bundy Ranch standoff.
One of the people running the Waco massacre may be elected President in two years. Putin would have nothing on us.
When in the history of our Country have US Marshals had to raid FBI Headquarters to protect evidence?
