Good morning and thank God that it’s Friday!!!11!11!!!!!
I had the worst migraine yesterday after dealing with headaches every day since last Friday. Barely made it home before puking up an In-and-Out burger and fries that I had for lunch. Yummy stuff.
Had forgotten what a really bad migraine is like--wish I could take the day off, but I have IMPORTANT stuff to do at that place today.
Mrs Sven made it home safely about 1 this morning from the Midwest so that’s a good thing.
Very sorry to read about your migraine; hope that dissipates ASAP. (And it sucks you can’t stay home today.)
Paddy and Mac --
A half-assed search suggests that “chutneep” may be a sort of turnip chutney; a perfect, gag-worthy condiment for haggis dogs. (Which are a loathsome horror beyond girding in iron; more into the “nuke it from orbit” realm.)
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven and Fatwa!
It’s another glorious day in paradise, where the humidity is 27% and dropping and the temp. is already 70°F, heading up to an expected high of 91°F.
Sven -- I’m sorry about you’re migraine -- that’s teh suckage. Glad that Mrs. Sven made it home safe.
Off to mow the lawn before it gets too hot to do anything outdoors.
It’s 11:30am and only 61° here in Texas. If I’m lucky, I may have the opportunity to snag a sunburn this weekend. Maybe.
My buddy Bob tells me it’s windy and dry in his mountain hideaway, but assures me the newsreaders haven’t begun prattling on about “heightened fire danger”. I’m sure that’s coming, though.
Sorry about the migraine, Sven. I hope it’s better, soonest, and happy Mrs. Sven’s home safe and sound.
Other than that, I got nuthin’. It’s two weeks ’til deadline and I can’t even *see* behind.
Hai, TeX! Personally, I’m trying to avoid the whole ‘sunburn’ thing. Which reminds me, I need to schedule an appointment to get my skin cancers checked out/burned off.
Here’s a picture of part of the fence I built.
The posts are galvanized steel, enclosed with wood. The wood is all treated with borates to discourage bugs.

It’s already 79°F and 19% humidity, but the front lawn (and a neighbor’s) are mowed.

Mrs. Paddy and I are off to the symphony -- a friend couldn’t use her tickets. Tchaikovsy’s Symphony No. 6.
