Sunny day, chasing the clouds away…
Twilight time is over for awhile. Another sunny day today in my favorite season of open windows. Actually, except for a few snow days, we have been able to keep the windows open a lot lately.
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT and Fatwa!
RabBiT -- here’s to open windows! Don’t worry too much about what the autopsy report says, it often doesn’t include contributing factors and something like a small stroke can be almost impossible to find.
Good morning, Sven! You came in while I was RabBiT typing.
A new 1911? Very nice! I haven’t purchased a handgun in Calif. in so long that I don’t even know what the requirements are. Do you still have to swear on a stack of Mother Jones while facing Jerry Brown?
Have fun with the shopping, Sven. There are many great choices at every level of price and features. I think the best line is probably Springfield Armory with a full line. I know many enthusiasts who are very happy with everything they have tried from them. I was considering one of their Mil Spec guns but decided to recondition my Father’s old GI clunker. This was the first centerfire handgun I fired on my own when I was 11 years old. It cost more to set up than a new gun with similar specs I think but given it’s history I decided it deserved a new lease.
Are you in need of a new barrel bushing, and maybe some trigger work? Has your linkage gotten sloppy?

SMISHes for our Rabbit and BW. Another hard day for you. I hope the open window season brings you happier days.
Miracles do happen. I did not have to work today! Since we did not have an event today, the Knights had their Fish Fry Party for everyone who volunteered and they requested my attendance. to show their appreciation of my work. on my first day off in almost 3 weeks. sigh. Free beer makes everything all right.
Caturday O grabbin’!

Hi Rabbit and Fatwa…there could be a children’s book title in there: The Rabbit and the Fatwa.
Mrs Sven is buying me a new 1911 for my birthday. Now, just have to do some testing and researching.

I hope you find one you really like.
Being GI it is over 70 years old. Wish I could be reconditioned to work as well.
