Today we meet the painters at 9 to give them a key. The bid was soul-crushingly expensive. But with all the stuff we needed done, it was reasonable-we think. At this point we just want it done. I’m sure we will love it when it is over.
Mr. Sparky fizzled on us. It seemed that he came with the idea of totally rewiring the house, not the few repairs we wanted. So back to looking for another guy. I said I wish Mr. X was doing the job for us. It would be done right and we could trust him. Granted, there are some screwy things in the place due to using “friends of Sis” and WG, but the amount of money for even piddily things like putting in a different wall socket was outrageous.

I see that Planned Parenthood got hacked. Good. About time someone from the nonliberal side of the country started using the same tactics that have been used against the right.
But on the other hand, chickens coming to roost. If I’m a Democrat, I’d start thinking about 2008, Rush Limbaugh, and Operation Chaos in regards to Donald Trump.
I can’t stand Trump. Never have, never will. It’s embarrassing though how the Republican candidates can’t figure out an adult, effective way to counter him. They just don’t get it. They seem to think this is a normal election with the normal rules and all that bullshit. They seem to have no idea how angry people are, especially Tea Party and Conservative types.
I can’t get troll cat to eat again. Chicken, tuna, pork, beef. 3 kinds of dry food; 6 kinds of wet food. A week ago, he was eating everything in sight and now, nada. I cooked up some chicken breasts for him tonight and put it on his plate--he would only eat a few bites if I sat on the floor and hand fed him and then even that didnt last.
Think he’s on his last legs. He’s sleeping in odd places and spends a lot of time outdoors. Has trouble walking and leaping. Won’t groom.
He’s pretty old, like well over 15, and hasnt had the easiest of lives.
It sounds like his time has come, Sven. As long as he isn’t in pain, you can just try to make his final days peaceful and comfortable. If he’s in pain, then the merciful thing would be to let him go. How does Mrs. Sven feel?
