Is life a clown, because I sometimes feel like this?

Clownish O grabbin’!

Ha! In my younger days, I would have been on the clown’s side. But in these aging years, I feel more like the fed-up woman seeking revenge. Too bad the film didn’t show her catching the clown. I know she put that heavy purse to good use!
Sis finally called with an update around nine-thirty. They ran all kinds of tests on ZS and decided to keep her overnight. She kept wanting “pain medicine”. Why, of course, never let a medical crisis go to waste. They gave her Benadryl. Sis said ZS griped so much that they finally gave her morphine (not sure if they really did or just told her that). Without admitting anything, what we pieced together from what Sis said is that the two of them had been up to something and called in Chinese food the night before when Sis spent the night with her. Oh, and Sis got her check a couple of days ago. This is a pattern we’ve seen for years. So, with the party over, Sis was left holding the (high blood pressure) bag.
Sis was wanting to go home, so I let her off the hook & said that would be ok, since she needed to rest Come back the next day to take ZS home. I don’t know if she stayed or not. They are masters at guilt-tripping each other.
As a side note, Worthless Grandson got picked up & put in jail over the weekend. He missed a probation meeting when he relied on Sis to take him & she was “unavailable”. So he blew it off rather than find another ride. Sheer idiocy. This was the second time he’s done this.
I get tired just thinking about them!
BW just woke up & we need more coffee.
Have a Jerrific day & I’ll hop back in later.
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT and Sven!
RaBbiT -- I get worn out just reading your stories -- I don’t know how you and BW have put up with it all these years.
Sven -- good luck to you and Mrs. Sven as you navigate another work week with some of the best employers on Earth.
We usually Skype with Teh Younger on Sunday evenings. We got a text last night saying we’d have to delay our call -- he was exhausted from cases all day and was currently on a case (he was in the Operations/Command center on the radio). A minute later we get another text -- Op/Com was hit by lightning and the power was out. He was trying to get all the computers and radios back online. We’ll have to wait until tonight to learn how it all turned out.
Hope The Youngest was able to successfully reboot everything and then had a quiet evening.

I had an equivalent reaction. When I was in HS, I started a little tradition of pieing (pie tin and shaving cream) friends after school on their birthdays. (I still have low taste in humor.)
Meat-a-palooza was great!
The salad bar alone was fabulous.
We had a great time and Son enjoyed his birthday dinner.
It is definitely a special occasion place, not one that will go in our regular rotation.
(Extra thanks to the Svenbocks for their contribution)

Good morning,
Another week starts--yippee. On the other hand, nothing that I have to face or do comes remotely close to what you are dealing with, Rabbit.
Read over at that other place that SWMNBN has been acting up again. Several new posts up--thanks Brother Tim.

Hai, RabBeet, Sven and Paddy!
RabBeet --
What Paddy said.

Life lesson: Clowns carrying pastries are never up to anything good.

Yay!
Even better; cheers for checking in, RabBeet.
Yay! RaBbiT!
[I will refrain from making any meat jokes -- it just wouldn’t be right.]
