Yesterday I spent the morning doing errands. I wanted to come home and nap. Instead, I drove over to TMP to pay Sean & his trainer. They fixed the vanity light and grounded the AC.

The neighbor was tearing down the rotten section of fence & putting up a new one. I left a note saying we would be back at the house in the evening to pay him for half of it. BW stayed home.

Later we went back over there and Sean came to fix the closet lights. We went over to the neighbor’s and took him on a tour of the house. He refused to let us pay for the fence-saying his yard guys were putting it up & he didn’t know the price. BW said he seemed embarrassed by our offer, even though TM had always done that with neighbors. She said she offered a number of times & wasn’t going to press it. As far as the vanity light- when I tried it earlier in the day, it worked. They had left one bulb out & the globes off. So I put a new one in & re-attatched the globes. BW said it sparked when she turned it on (with the neighbor). After he left, we asked Sean about it. He said it needed an entire new fixture, that the hanging wire was old & going to fray. That was why they left the bulb out. Later, I tried the light & it worked just fine.

In the meantime,(which is a MEAN TIME), Sean was trying to repair the closet lights. We found another base socket that was damaged and I had to go to Lowe’s to get a new one. Sean started working on another light. He ran into something beyond his knowledge and called his trainer. The guy wasn’t happy with Sean working under the table. Supposedly, he agreed to come the next day & look in the attic to see what that the problem can be & tell Sean how to fix it, but he won’t do it himself. Sean lost power on that wing of the house & couldn’t get it back on… BW was beside herself.

Sean did take down the ceiling fan/light over the breakfast nook & put up a light that matches the new kitchen light. They look great together.

Also, at Lowe’s I bought a can of “Adhesive stripper for concrete” because the patio still doen’t look right. BW is worried that some flakes of the glue have gotten in the pool & maybe ruined things. She messed with the pool sweep all evening.
On the way home, she mentioned “ants with wings” that came out of a tree. OMG! ZS had told us that TM treated the house in the past for termites, but she didn’t keep up with the regular treatments like we did on ours.
And , of course, on the way home, BW mentioned again how she wants to move into the house instead of sell it. Which always sends me into a white-hot silence because I don’t want to argue-it does no good. She can’t think logically, only emotionally about that topic. Of course, in the end, I will go there if I have to. And hate every minute of my life. Ha! (not ha)

Hey, Fatwa!
I was slow-typing when you came in. I accidentally scrolled up & there you were!

Sneaky RabBeet!

Hope that you and BW can get TMP-related issues resolved soon. (And that you’re not forced to live in a house with a pool.) 🙂

Yesterday, I was driving & the local radio news mentioned a teacher accused (or arrested) for a student affair. The name was an unusual one, I was in high school with a guy named that. Then on the evening news, I saw his picture. Hard to tell from a mugshot of an old bald guy, but I think the eyes match. Weird.

Ha, Fatwa.
I don’t want the care and feeding of a cement pond.

I can understand that; they’re really not so bad once you’re able to get the chemistry right and learn to do the basic maintenance. But they are additional chores.

Weird if that teacher turns out to be your classmate.

Well, I am off to scour the innerweb for bizzare and unuseful things.
Congrats on the roofing job-if y’all get it.
Well, bank robbers, crooks & molesters went to school with somebody-heh.

See ya later.

Congrats on the roofing job-if y’all get it.

Thanks. Today’s the day to review our preliminary numbers in an effort to make sure our bid is neither the lowest nor highest for the first round.

Trump trump trump. I’m already sick of this guy and dread hearing him every day for the next 6 months or longer.

I’d like to see Ted Cruz come out with a “if Trump wins the nomination, then I’m running as an independent” statement to knock Trump off his blackmail dance.

Well, off to work. I have a Jerry-sized woodie just thinking about it.

Hai, Sven!

I was able to accurately hear you speaking your 9:27 comment in my head. 😉

Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT, Fatwa, and Sven!

Fatwa -- good luck on the contract.
RabBiT -- you and BW will get through this -- hopefully without moving into TMP.

I saw the video clip of Trump’s presser yesterday where he tossed out some guy from Univision for being a jerk (he called on a reporter and the guy from Univision stood up and started filibustering). The guy was later let in and Trump called on him and had a long back-and-forth, turning the tables on the guy and asking him questions, repeating the questions until the guy finally answered. It was refreshing, even though I can’t stand Trump. I’m hoping that Ted Cruz and some of the others will get a clue that we’re tired of the two-party status quo.

Hi!!
I survived the desert hotness and actually LOVED it! I got to hang out all weekend with lifelong girlfriends. We had a beautiful room and the pool was only steps away with shade trees and a nice breeze. It was so lovely, but teh hubby was so jealous that I got to go without him, I’m taking him back there this weekend. Bow chicka bow bow..107 was the top temp but I never felt too hot because there was plenty of shade, ice cold cocktails and a breeze.

Monday, I took the day off to go to Sea World because my daughter’s roommate works there and had free passes. It was nice. The orcas seem perfectly happy, the show was quite educational. I noticed that they scaled the show way back from what I remember from 10 years ago but it was still uplifting. I think having a few orcas is just fine. It gives people who would never be able to see them in the wild a chance to see what magnificent creatures they are. These orcas are like ocean ambassadors and serve a good purpose. People fall in love with them every day at Sea World..people who would otherwise never get a chance to see them up close and personal. I don’t see anything wrong with it. These orcas were all captive bred and have never lived in the wild so they are really like big cuddly pets. They wouldn’t know the first thing about hunting for food and would die of starvation and maybe even shunned or killed by existing pods in the wild. The peta people want them to be set free..idiots!

Hi, Cali!

Glad you had a nice mini-vacay; nice you get to go back this weekend.

The peta people want them to be set free..idiots!

They’re fanatical buffoons. I still remember their “Holocaust On A Plate” campaign, which featured charming graphics like this one:

Hey, Cali!
I enjoyed seeing pictures of your dinosaur encounters on FB. I’m glad you get to go back again, this weekend.

We went to Sea World at the end of May and noticed the same thing about the ‘Shamu’ show that you did. We did enjoy the educational touch-tanks they’ve added just inside the entrance.
