Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven and Fatwa!

Sven -- even though you are going in to the bestest place to work, ever!, it’s a bummer that you have to do so on your day off.

Greetings, all.

Today was a pretty good day. I was back whacking branches and vines in the alley. Every time I think I have done enough, something else pops up. I did manage to kill a mosquito as he was biting me, smearing bug and my blood all over my arm. Ha! BW read an article awhile back that said bugs are attracted more to type O blood. So that explains it. I am always the one that gets bitten when biters are around. It’s not my magnetic personality after all.

Today was also lunch with my (our) son day. We settled on El Fenix, a local Tex-Mex chain. I haven’t been to one in probably 20 years. My old favorite there was Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. They were still good. The hostess/manager was cracking me up. She was sure that she knew me & then she recognized Son as well. Only she thought he comes in with a group. It was so weird. She even came to our table during the meal to check up on us. For once, BW was the quiet one & I couldn’t stop talking. Usually, they talk computers & I have nothing to say!
Afterwards, we were passing Costco & I said “let’s go in and look.” Son asked what we were looking for & I didn’t really have anything in mind, I just wanted to wander around. (He has a card, we don’t.) So of course, we headed right for the laptops. The one I’m using now is one he picked out for BW some years ago. They talked computers again. BW wanted an upgrade for windows 7 (stop laughing) & he said she couldn’t get one. She didn’t want windows 8 & he didn’t recommend that anyway. Everything had windows 10. We ended up buying her an HP Notebook 15 (whatever that is) with windows 10. It only weighs 4 lbs. The one that she has been using is an old HP G60-453 Notebook 16 with windows vista-it came from a pawn shop. One year TM asked BW to take Zombie Sis up there to get a TV as a present. So BW picked up this computer & let TM give it to her for Christmas. She’s been wanting a new one for awhile, I just kept saying no. I mean, we already have 2 laptops and a desk top! Anyway, I just said we were getting it today. BW was tearing up some in the store. We shopped a little more, but none of us saw anything that we couldn’t live without. Well, except a large container of chocolate covered raisins. I guess Costco is too trendy to call ’em “Goobers”.

When we got home, we found another check from Matrix in the mailbox. That makes 3 this week. I think we are all caught up now. And we found a message on the machine about a scheduled showing of TMP on Monday.
All in all, a happy day for us.

Y’all probably already know this:
I asked Son why there was no ” Windows 9″. He said that there was a computer program that searched for problems on windows 95, so they realized that they couldn’t use the number 9 or it would cause a problem. I’m sure there is more to it that that, but that is how he dumbed it down for me. Ha!
