Olive that link on ocean winds, Cali.

We are having beautiful weather here. Windows open all day & tonight we may sleep with one open.
Yesterday we spent some time in Dr. Deekay’s office. BW did have a sinus infection, but also some bone loss around a tooth that had Dr. concerned. Strict orders to bring in her mouthguard when we come in for cleaning. Even though she doesn’t wear it anymore. Dr. D wants to check it against her current xrays. BW has been grinding her teeth when she plays her video games. Ha!
I guess I was having a delayed reaction from our car trip. I went to bed last night at 7 pm! Now I am suffering through the after effects of eating milk and cereal for dinner. Ha! TMI!

Today I don’t have anything to do . Yay! Not even laundary.
Guess I’ll go look at The Internet of Things.

See ya later.

Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT, Sven, and Fatwa!

RabBiT -- I’m glad you’ve got a do-nothing day. Those can be wonderful.

Sven -- sorry you have to work on your day off.

Fatwa -- you’re right. Now I have those insipid voices in my head.

Hello Gerbil Nation! Please note that I am not using “gerbil” in a speciesist microaggression (because I am too tired and football-frustrated to come up with one).

Today I cooked at KF&BBQ for the last time. Worse, The Hall was KF&BBQ for the last time.
OTOH today was also the first day at The Hall for Grace Advent Ministry. It was a celebration of new beginnings and the American traditions of Ecumenism and Community; some 7th Day Adventists helped some Catholics help some Lutherans to raise money for the community. Sadly, it involved cabbage. But hey, they are Lutherans so what do you expect?

Details:
When the sale of The Hall fell through in June ( I did mention that last June, didn’t I?) I went into panic marketing/sales mode and just as that was starting to pan out in August, the church who screwed us on the first bid, renewed their offer demanding closing Sept 17 and occupation by Sept 30.

Hell, forget the details. The KofC sold The Hall; chaos ensued as I worked to produce our Sept events and the Knights “organized” the removal of our stuff while I’m cooking and staging events.

One last catering gig had to be done. Oktoberfest for the Lutheran Church down the street. 43 gallons of German potato salad, 23 of Suaerkraut, 20 of Braised Red Cabbage, 1000 rolls in 3 tranches today, ie after Sept 30. That I did not kill anyone during the daily back and forth over when I would have access to which kitchen when and did I call vendor X about transfers/pick-ups and the repairmen/inspectors -- oh, and the previous employee who thinks she left on good terms after she dumped us needs a tiny letter right now for her current employer to get a promotion is incensed that I put lunch for 240 paying customers ahead of her -is in itself a miracle.
Anywho, Hey y’all. I’ve missed you.
