It is be around 70 today. BW & I are going over to TMP to clear the pool & rake leaves later. We have had five house visits since Thanksgiving, with another one scheduled for this evening. No word from Bob with any offers.
ZS called again yesterday asking for money. She said Sis took him for his urine test & he has until Friday to get the ankle bracelet. This time the pitch was that she would pay us back within two months. BW said “What about the other fees?” ZS said “he thinks he will be able to pay those”. BW asked if he was working. ZS said “he’s begging his boss for work”. Last week is that he was going back on Monday. So BW said that she wasn’t seeing him try to do anything to help himself & she wasn’t inclined to send him anything. ZS “Do you want to talk to him?” BW said ,”I have already talked to you both.” ZS said, “So you definitely aren’t going to help?” BW said ,”I am definitely not sending any money.” Oh, that was pretty hard for her. She started wavering a bit in the middle of the call, pulling the old “See if Good Nephew can come up with some and we can all chip in.” I was over here pantomiming, “NO! NO! NO!”. ZS said she had a call into him, but he wasn’t answering. Of course not. He knows all she ever wants is money. He doesn’t take her calls. Plus, he’s busy working in a fast-paced, stressful job at the airport.
So, it was a huge victory for BW. Not just saying no, but not feeling guilty afterwards. But they will call again, that’s all they want to do. They don’t want to actually do anything-they just want money handed to them.
I hope troll cat is resting easy and that Mrs. Paddy doesn’t have anymore driving adventures.
