Teh Younger left this morning to go back to college for his winter term. It was tough to see him go -- I like having him around. He’ll spend one week on campus, then fly to Cuba for two weeks of research in the waters off the southern portion of the island. It should be quite the opportunity, and I’m glad he’s getting it.
Stormaggeddon..well, El Nino started off with some light sprinkles here most of the night and my drains have been working well so far. No big rain yet but traffic was a mess. 1 car on an offramp pulled off to the side that slowed everything to a crawl trying to get to work even though it wasnt blocking a damned thing.. Lookie-lous suck. I was 7 minutes late.
The hellcoldflu is trying to hang on but Im over the worst of it I think. Went to hot yoga yesterday afternoon and just about passed out towards the end so Im not quite out of the woods yet. My office will have to put up with some occasional coughing fits but otherwise I feel pretty good. I think the rain is actually helping because the dry air was murdering my sinuses.
I checked out the Miracle-Gro float on Google. Nice work Paddy!
The good news is …. a big wave surf advisory starts at 4pm today and bigger surf is predicted by Thursday with some waves up to 11′! As my aussi friend would say, “2 houses high and gettin’ shacked off my melon”…not that I will jump in with them but I sure do love watching them crash! Ill try to get some pics!
