My answer to Mac’s thread pic query riffs off of Arte Johnson’s “Tyrone F. Horneigh” character:

So… the TMP contract went through (the appraisal) and we were told to come for closing last Friday.
BW & I went to pick up ZS & Sis, not trusting that they would get to the right place on time. Of course, ZS was stoned. We sat in the waiting room for about 45 minutes while the title guy was doing another closing. Then they told us that that it had been cancelled & no one had bothered to tell us! Nothing has gone smoothly in in this whole process. So now we have a tentative closing date of this Weds. It wasn’t quite “Weekend at Bernie’s” in the closing office, but close.
Seems that Good Nephew felt sorry for his Mother &”loaned” her some rent money & to pay on WG’s fines. But hey, why not buy some dope when someone gives you some money?
Once again, she has exceeded my low expectations.
Yesterday, it was warm & I grilled some beautiful steaks.
But the real good news is that after today, I don’t have to hear or think about Iowa! Yay!
I cannot imagine how frustrating and stressful this whole process has been for the two of you; here’s hoping that by Wednesday you’ll finally be done with the whole ordeal.
NORTH PORT -- The death of a woman found in a North Port hotel room on Friday afternoon is being investigated as suspicious, city spokesman Josh Taylor said.
Linda Marie Smith, 59, of Arcadia was found dead in a room at the Budget Inn. In addition to her body, two live monkeys were in the hotel room.
In re: the thread pic, Mr. X would blame the plumber.
For strapping the Pex to the wrong side of the stud. 😉
/I know WAY too much about plumbing now.
Oh, Rabbit, I hope by Wednesday, for your long-awaited and much-deserved peace of mind the manse ordeal is over.
Gah!
I don’t know how long it’s been since I checked in, I suspect awhile. Between teh jobs, finishing up just the collateral openings from switching out the pipes, and ‘den! working on a new VFD t-shirt I was volunteered to design and ‘den! a new fundraiser for next month …
The weeks have flown by. Throw in exec. comm. meetings it’s been nuts!
BUT we’re getting very close on finishing the master bath. Very close. Floor’s been ordered, paint and marble have been chosen and measured…it’s close.
AND I got a designated crafting spot outta the deal too! Once I sneak the flamingo lights in without Mr. X noticing, I’ll post a pic.
And … unless I do it through my corporate network connection, I can’t check the Internets when I’m logged in without firing up another machine … so I’ve completely lost track of damn near everything.
My buddy Bob introduced me to this lovely little Bluetooth keyboard for the iPad so not all is lost anymore. Teh Yay!
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT, TeX, Fatwa, and Sven!
rAbBiT -- ditto what others have said about TMP and a pox on Realtor Bob and his lack of action and communication.
TeX -- I don’t know when y’all find the time to breathe! Glad the renovations are progressing. We’re planning out bathroom remodels, new windows, and kitchen remodel (but spread out over time).
Fatwa -- well, at least it wasn’t Florida Man found with the monkeys (or Florida Woman found with The Monkees).
Unlike Sven, we only got about a tenth of an inch of rain, yesterday (according to the weather guessers), but we did have strong winds all day and all night. It’s calm now, but the winds are supposed to pick up again.
RIP Frank Finlay. He played Iago in the 1965 movie “Othello,” with Laurence Olivier. It was my favorite of his roles but I saw him give wonderful performances in other films as well. Sad.
TeX — I don’t know when y’all find the time to breathe! Glad the renovations are progressing. We’re planning out bathroom remodels, new windows, and kitchen remodel (but spread out over time).
Honestly, it’s really just me following Mr. X’s lead, for the most part. It’s not in his makeup to take it easy, relax, or anything resembling less than, “Go, go, go!”.
For him to actually take a vacation would require heavy sedation.
Gack! That actually makes it sound like “Weekend at Bernie’s”, don’t it?
:: shudder ::
However, all the ‘tings we do keeps us from the idiot box and the political circus. I thank G-d we live in BFE.
Monday gaaaaaaaah!!reetings, Wheelizens!

Headline news from Florida: Dead body found with live monkeys in North Port, police say.
“Suspicious.”

He certainly had a long and distinguished career.
So true, Paddy.

And with that … it’s time for yoga class.
*mwah!* y’all!
Thank god that the Iowa Carcasses are about over with.
Cruz-Trump-Rubio with 75% reporting. I hope Cruz holds and what would be even sweeter is if Trump drops to third.
That would be a nightmare for the GOPe.
Yeah, didnt happen, but close enough. I really don’t like Trump.
