Happy Friday, Wheelizens and “t’anks”, ThreadLad Joe!
I’m woefully unprepared for any April Fool’s gags, but I do have a fool:
Hahahahahahaha…dumbass.
CorporateToolK was well enough to go into the office today, but I’m glad it’s the end of the week.
Mac --
Hope that you’re recuperating well; we’ll be thinking good thoughts for Elena on Monday. (I remember when Mom had both of her knees replaced at the same time. The first few weeks were not easy, but she was diligent in her physical therapy and the results were a major improvement in the quality of her life.)
I keep thinking and saying Monday for Elena’s operation but it is really Tuesday, the fifth. She should come home Wednesday. Sorry for confusion.
I go to the Cardiologist again today. I hope I get there in better shape. I have been working on the back and it seems better, plus I think we have found a better way to sit. I also have the walker that Elena’s mother used to use and it works better when the back is bad. It seems silly to have something old like this be my biggest problem after the rest.
I nominate the heating pad as the Eighth Wonder of the man made world.
Other than the back trouble which is getting better, I have little discomfort or problem. It is easy to be dismissive because of it. I have to keep reminding myself of the new situation. I am really more concerned about next week. I expected to be helping Elena a great deal but that will be very limited now. She is optimistic that she will bounce back quickly from what the Doctor and others have told her. I hope they are right. We will be quite a pair hobbling around.
Thanks for the update re you and Elena. Glad your back’s doing better and wish you continued improvement there as well as “two thumbs up” from your cardiologist today.
Here’s hoping for good news from the doctor today, Mac.
Oy indeed, me too, Fatwa. I’ve been telling Mrs Sven that I’m sorry for being such a bother, sniff. Her response now is “Stop your f**king whining.” She’s a mean one.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Mac, and Sven!
Fatwa -- anyone can clearly see that the fool in your pic has the magazine in backwards! He’ll end up shooting himself in the face that way!
Sven -- thoughts and prayers for a successful procedure and a quick and painless recovery. At least Mrs. Sven isn’t having the raccoons take care of you.
Mac -- just keep following the doctor’s orders and adjusting to the new normal. You’ve got this.

BBL.
Continuing thoughts and prayers for GN friends.
Off today myself for some lovely medical-surgical stuff. But things could be a lot worse: I could still be married to my first wife!
Thank you.

How go things in the virtual classroom trenches?
Heh.
Well…that’s certainly been my impression, Sven. Through and through.
Feelin’ the Bern!
Hmm… I think there’s ointment for that…
So, I saw this, somewhere…
Which one should I put on my car? I’m thinking I like the 3rd one best….
Oh, definitely the third one!
Yes, the third one, definitely!
Because mermaids need free shit too!
Yay! Free shit!
April Fools!!
Bwahahahaaa!
Get a load of this “April Fool.”
Hee!
