Glad to read that Elena’s home and doing well (and that it’s had a salutary effect Mac’s blood sugar). The PT is not pleasant, especially so soon post-op, but diligence will make a large difference over the next few weeks.
Moar good thoughts for both of them. And Sven. (And the rest o’ youse, too, ’cause you’re all family.)
Man, that is one ugly looking cat--I hope getting a bath helps it.
Hi Fatwa!
Good news re both you, Mac, and Mrs Mac. Happy to read it.
I’m doing better--thanks for all the good thoughts. Stitches come out today. And then timing always working out for me, I have a job interview immediately afterwards. A decent opportunity and I’ll give it my best shot, but next week would have been better.
How many weasel words can I use to describe the alleged animal supposedly enjoying what some call a bath? This just might make it harder to ferret out the truth!
I’m glad to hear Mac and Little Mouse are resting at home.
I also hope Sven gets a cool looking scar out of his surgical adventures.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and Joe!
Sven -- good luck on the suture-removal and interview.
When I checked my work email this morning, I found one from the teacher whom I have been shadowing -- yesterday was her last day, so I take over this morning. Fortunately, she sent me the powerpoint she’s been using this week. That gives me until Tuesday to come up with a lesson for next week.
I see that Jimmie Van Zant passed away this morning -- we all knew the musicians of our youth had to go, sometime, but it still seems unreal. And what’s up with the continued existence of Keith Richards? How is that even possible?
Went digging through some old CDs from a friend and found some Jimmie Van Zant. My friend said he saw him at a small bar north of Denver…this was like 10 years ago.
The Van Zant family has definitely left its mark on American music. RIP.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, GN!

Hai, Sven!
Oh, that’s a cat in teh thread GIF; I thought it was a really weird-looking squirrel.
Good luck on teh (stitchless) interview!

And Willie Nelson.
Home and stitchless. And not a bad interview. If things keep going my way, I might just get a real shot at Paris Hilton!
Geez, that cat has been getting washed all day and it’s still a sad looking specimen.
What a great headline: “Indiana University Students Mistake Priest for KKK Member”
Huh. On this day ten years ago, SWMNBN apparently did nothing vile. Of course she was passed out drunk, but still…
